2017-18 Fantasy Premier League Rankings

on

Welcome to the 2017-18 Fantasy Premier League Rankings. Each week I will be updating the rankings based on how I expect each player to perform the rest of the season. I will also be giving notes to the changes that occurred in the rankings from the previous week.

Back in week ten, we learned quite a few crucial things. Marco Silva is working magic at Watford, with a solid 2-1 win over Arsenal to put the Hornets in fourth. Crystal Palace got their first points on the board with a shocking 2-1 upset over Chelsea, who clearly lack squad depth. Everton is not looking like a top seven side, dropping points again in a 1-1 tie against Burnley. Man City is looking early contenders, firing an incredible seven goals past Stoke. Finally, the matchup of the week, United versus Liverpool, was a typical Mourinho “park the bus” performance in a 0-0 draw.

Welbeck and Bailly will be available for selection this week. More significantly, Luke Shaw could finally feature for the first time this season, as he is included in the match-day squad against Benfica for the UCL. Aguero and Pogba should return the week, after, while Mane and Kante are out until mid-November. Kompany may be fit for the Burnley game following a lengthy calf injury, although a starting spot is doubtful.

Based on the results, a few players have now massively changed ranks. Manchester United are up to seven clean sheets in eight, sending an impressive Phil Jones to fifth. Swansea was airtight in their 2-0 home win, and all starting defenders rose at least five spots and look a solid mid-range option. Aurier is still banned and is unlikely to replace Trippier or Davies in the starting eleven, dropping him below fifty for the first time.

Sterling has breached the top ten midfielders in our rankings thanks to his fifteen game-week points, more than any other player. Eriksen is looking worthy of the top spot after scoring the winner at Wembley. Zaha returned from injury and the top thirty after an energetic performance with a goal to show. Mirallas was on the Everton bench again, and he is rapidly dropping every week despite his decent return last season.

Jesus, Abraham, and Gabbiadini scored two goals apiece, and Jesus is up to third while Abraham and Gabbiadini rose to fourteenth and twelfth respectively. Giroud hasn’t started all season and has a single goal, so he is down to twenty-sixth.

Be sure you return each Wednesday night to check out the updates to the 2017-18 Fantasy Premier League Rankings. Also, don’t miss the rest of the Premier League content.
