The “Not-So” Hot Stove

This year’s hot stove is not exactly hot. We are just over a week away from pitchers and catchers reporting, yet there are still major free agents left to sign.

There have been some moves worth talking about. We run through those and pick one each to analyze.

Draft Strategy

Instead of going through a generic, how are you attacking your draft question like we have every year, we take a different approach. We reflect on what happened last year in Fantasy Baseball and see if we adjust our strategy for this season based on things we learned. Some of the things we reflect on are:

  1. Power Spike in 2017
  2. Another drop in steals
  3. Aces getting hurt or not performing in 2017
  4. Instability in the closer ranks

You can also check out the Fantasy Baseball Rankings to see how these strategies can play out.

Prospect Talk

BaseballHQ writer, Chris Blessing, comes on to give his expert analysis on prospects entering the 2018 season. We ask about Ronald Acuna, Eloy Jimenez, Michael Kopech and more.

We also ask him about who some of the players that could be late season additions who could make a big impact and who could be available in your current season’s dynasty/keeper league draft.
