Off-Season Winners and Losers

Giving you the edge for your fantasy football team…

In this podcast we discuss:

The Winners

Eric Decker, WR, Tennessee Titans

Decker and Brandon Marshall were winners because they found situations better than they had with the Jets. Does it necessarily mean that Eric Decker will be a winner in the 2017 season with the Titans?

Andy Dalton, QB, Cincinnati Bengals

New weapons and potential strength in the running game make Andy Dalton an off-season winner. But will it all come together to lift Dalton in 2017 to the fantasy football heights?

Ted Ginn, WR, New Orleans Saints

Ted Ginn comes into a situation where he presumably takes the Brandin Cooks role in the Saints offense. Is that really the case? What is the real value that will become evident in 2017 with Ginn and other pass-catchers on the team?

Isaiah Crowell, RB, Cleveland Browns

The Browns did not use the draft to increase their backfield which suggests that Crowell is their man. Plus, they beefed up the offensive line. Does that mean this offense can be better with Crowell leading the charge with RB1 production?

The Losers

Spencer Ware, RB, Kansas City Chiefs

Does the Chiefs move up to draft Kareem Hunt going to mean the end of Spencer Ware as lead back in Kansas City?

Adrian Peterson, RB, New Orleans Saints

Including Mark Ingram. Richard and Kevin would prefer Peterson with the Giants, so this was a losing move to the Saints in their opinion. Will turn out as bad in 2017 as we suspect or are better things possible.

Sterling Shepard, WR, New York Giants

Brandon Marshall’s appearance immediately killed the off-season value of Sterling Shepard. Can Marshall maintain season long effectiveness or will Shepard be able to overcome his fantasy decline?

Mike Evans, WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Mike Evans was third in wide receivers in 2016. His value on paper in the off-season took a hit with the acquisition of Desean Jackson and rookies. Is it really that damaging or perhaps a help for Evans to maintain his WR1 status?
