2017-18 Fantasy Premier League Rankings

on

Welcome to the 2017-18 Fantasy Premier League Rankings. Each week I will be updating the rankings based on how I expect each player to perform the rest of the season. I will also be giving notes to the changes that occurred in the rankings from the previous week. Back in game-week thirty, we learned quite a few crucial things. United solidified their spot in second as they overcame their archrivals, Liverpool. Arsenal and Chelsea returned to winning ways, with Chelsea only four points adrift the top four. West Ham is in absolute mayhem at the moment, with fans storming the pitch in response to general dissatisfaction with the club ownership during their 3-0 loss to Burnley.

Kane suffered a brutal ankle injury, and Spurs and England fans must anxiously await medical scans for a more accurate timeline. Aguero remains sidelined with a knee problem, so expect Jesus to step up. Monreal is a big miss for Arsenal following a back injury, as is fellow defender Bellerin. More important than any injuries for this game-week, a huge number of teams have no games during week thirty-one, including Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea, and Arsenal. If you planned ahead, using the “free hit” chip for temporary transfers would be a smart move.

Based on the results, a few players have now massively changed ranks. Burnley defenders are up at least three spots apiece after a solid clean sheet against West Ham, with the Hammers conversely dropping five or more spots after another shambolic performance. Swansea’s defensive stability was demonstrated on the weekend against Huddersfield, so their starting defenders have risen three-plus slots each. In particular, Aurier is up over ten spots thanks to his recent run in the starting eleven, including a goal and assist against Bournemouth.

Heung Min Son shined as bright as his name yet again for Spurs with an impressive sixteen point haul, as did developing star Dele Alli. Arsenal fans rejoice, the Dortmund connection is back. Mkhitaryan plus Aubameyang is like peanut butter and jelly, and the Armenian maestro contributed a crucial goal and an assist. Mahrez looks to have put his transfer dealings behind him and is finally back to the scintillating form he showed earlier this season.

New signings Aubameyang and Tosun are finally coming good for Arsenal and Everton respectively, with both on the scoresheet yet again. Rashford is proving himself a big game player after a dynamic MOTM performance in the North-West derby, while Lukaku played a crucial role in the win as well.

Updates are weekly on Tuesday nights.

Be sure you return every week to check out the updates to the 2017-18 Fantasy Premier League Rankings. Also, don’t miss the rest of the Premier League content.
