2017 Fantasy Football Week 10 Start-Sit

A few more bye weeks, suspensions, and injuries are impacting Week 10 lineup decisions. Heck, what if players like Fournette are surprise inactives again? To help you out, here is the 2017 Fantasy Football Week 10 Start-Sit preview.

2017 Fantasy Football Week 10 Start-Sit

Jared Goff, QB, Los Angeles Rams vs Houston Texans

Goff just went off against the Janoris Jenkinsless New York Giants, posting 28 Fantasy points with four touchdowns and over 300 passing yards. Goff now has four games with 19 or more Fantasy points and four with 16 or less.

Expect more of the former this week as the Rams go up against the Houston Texans who allow the fourth most Fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks. Goff should have another strong showing and is certainly start worthy in all formats.

Orleans Darkwa, RB, New York Giants vs San Francisco 49ers

Since “replacing” Paul Perkins, Darkwa has now touched the ball 12 or more times in three straight games and has rushed for 69 or more yards in three of the last four games.

Now Darkwa gets a golden match-up against the 49ers who have been abused by opposing running backs this year, allowing the most Fantasy points to the position. Start Darkwa, if not simply because of the 49ers terrible rush defense.

Start of the Week: Jordan Howard, RB, Chicago Bears vs Green Bay Packers

Howard has been solid this year, yet again, as he remains the focal point of the Bears’ offense. He has scored double digit Non-PPR Fantasy points in all but three games this season, and has 60 or more total yards in all but one game.

Coming off a bye week, Howard goes up against a Packers defense that allows the fourth most Fantasy points to opposing running backs. Last time Howard faced the Packers he had 113 total yards and a touchdown. Howard is a no brainer must-start.

Robby Anderson, WR, New York Jets vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Three straight games with a touchdown. Anderson now has four touchdowns on the year and is becoming McCown’s big play target.

Up next is a match-up against the Buccaneers who allow the third most Fantasy points to opposing wide receivers. Expect Anderson’s streak to continue and consider him a worthy start in Week 10.

Cameron Brate, TE, Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs New York Jets

Brate was a top-5 tight end on the year coming into Week 9 until he had a goose egg. With 60 or more receiving yards in five games, as a tight end, Brate should look to get back on  track against the Jets who allow the fifth most Fantasy points to tight ends.

Honorable Mention: Eli Manning vs SF; Lamar Miller vs LAR; Juju Smith-Schuster vs IND; Kyle Rudolph vs WAS

Kirk Cousins, QB, Washington Redskins vs Minnesota Vikings

Cousins has been one of the biggest Fantasy disappointments this year and has been rather inconsistent. He has four games with 11 or fewer Fantasy points and four with 19 or more.

Cousins has a matchup against the Vikings in Week 10 who allow the fourth fewest Fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks. Looking to be match-up dependent this year, Cousins should be avoided in a tough match-up in Week 10.

Kenyan Drake, RB, Miami Dolphins vs Carolina Panthers

With Ajayi gone, Drake just tallied over 100 total yards on 15 total touches in Week 9. He failed to reach the end zone, as Dolphins’ running back Damien Williams was the beneficiary in that department, and Drake lost a fumble.

Even though the numbers looked good for Drake in the first game without Ajayi, Drake now goes up against the Panthers, a team that allows the third fewest Fantasy points to opposing running backs. Sit Drake in a tough Week 10 match-up.

Sit of the Week: Keenan Allen, WR, Los Angeles Chargers vs Jacksonville Jaguars

Allen has fell victim to a tough schedule to start the season, failing to record over 100 yards in all but two games and scoring only one touchdown.

Things don’t get easier for Rivers’ favorite target, as the Chargers go up against the Jaguars and their number one ranked pass defense. With Rivers having to rely more on the deep ball with Travis Benjamin in recent weeks, leave Allen on your bench in a tough match-up.

T.Y. Hilton, WR, Indianapolis Colts vs Pittsburgh Steelers

Hilton did it again. For the third time this season he had a Fantasy relevant game. The crazy thing is, is when Hilton shows up…HE SHOWS UP. Hilton now has three games with 17 or more Non-PPR Fantasy points, and in the rest of his games he has four or less.

Expect some more of the latter this week against the Steelers who allow the second fewest Fantasy points to opposing wide receivers. Becoming inherently Boom or Bust without Luck under center, Week 10 is shaping up to be another Bust week for Hilton. Sit him accordingly.

Honorable Mention: Philip Rivers vs JAX; Dion Lewis vs DEN; Brandin Cooks vs DEN; Jason Witten vs ATL
