2018 Fantasy Football Week 1 Rankings

The preseason is over. All your Fantasy Football draft preparation is done. You have drafted your Fantasy Football teams and NFL Week 1 is here. Time to set your lineups with the help from the 2018 Fantasy Football Week 1 Rankings.

In my opinion Week 1 is the easiest week to set your lineup. You drafted your team a certain way, you start those players. About the only thing that makes me change my mind is an injury or surprise depth chart changes.

2018 Fantasy Football Week 1 Rankings

Each week I will be giving some notes for things you will want to keep an eye on as the week progresses. It will be mostly injury related, but anything that could affect the rankings, that we know about, will be mentioned. Then you can come back and review the rankings as lineup lock get closer.

  • The biggest news of the week is the fact that Le’Veon Bell as of Tuesday morning is still not at camp. If he does not show up Wednesday there is a risk that he does not play Sunday. That would immediately put James Conner in the RB1 conversation in my opinion.
  • The Eagles will be short-handed Thursday with Carson Wentz and Alshon Jeffery out. This downgrades the offense as a whole, but guys like Mike Wallace and Jay Ajayi could reap the benefits with an increased workload.
  • Mike Gillislee, who was recently cut by the Patriots, is listed at the No. 2 back for the Saints. He could have some touchdown vulture potential with Mark Ingram out.
  • Ronald Jones not only lost out on the starting gig in Tampa Bay, but is actually listed as the No. 3 back. You can not use him despite where you may have drafted him.
  • Antonio Gates returns to San Diego. This move was expected by just about everyone. He will be touchdown dependent much like last year.
