2018 NFL DFS Week 4 Team Stacks

Jared Goff just put on a quarterback clinic against the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday Night Football. He is just the fifth player in NFL history to throw for 450 yards, five touchdowns and zero interceptions! ESPN being ESPN narrowed that down to Goff being the only player in NFL history to do so on 3 days rest.

The Baltimore Ravens travel to Pittsburgh to play the Steelers on Sunday Night Football. That means no Ben Roethlisberger, Le’Veon Bell, James Conner, Alex Collins, Antonio Brown, JuJu Smith-Schuster, Michael Crabtree or John Brown in the Week 4 main slate player pool.

On Monday Night Football, the Denver Broncos host the Kansas City Chiefs. No Patrick Mahomes this week on the main slate either.

On top of all those players not being available, the Carolina Panthers and Washington Redskins are on bye weeks.

It’s safe to assume DFS players will be all over the Atlanta Falcons (Matt Ryan/Julio Jones/Calvin Ridley) / Cincinnati Bengals (Andy Dalton/A.J. Green/Tyler Boyd) matchup. The over/under of this game is 55 points.

Another popular play will be the New Orleans Saints (Drew Brees/Alvin Kamara/Michael Thomas) at New York Giants (Eli Manning/Saquon Barkley/Odell Beckham Jr./Sterling Shepard) matchup. That game has an over/under of 50.5 points.

Let’s take a look at some other team stacks that can help you take down a GPP in Week 4!

Los Angeles Chargers vs San Francisco 49ers

The Chargers host the Niners, who will be without QB Jimmy Garoppolo. C.J. Beathard will be under center for San Francisco. Start the Chargers DST!

Los Angeles is without Joey Bosa and has had a tough start to the season, facing Patrick Mahomes and Jared Goff already. You might get LAC at low ownership as their season numbers aren’t great, but this is a great matchup for them.

Austin Ekeler is averaging just about 35% of the team’s snaps and rips of a big play each week, leading to 98 yards from scrimmage per game!

If Keenan Allen’s knee injury limits him on Sunday, Mike Williams could have a huge day.

The over/under is 46.5 points in this one but the Chargers are 10.5 point favorites, with an implied point total of 28.5.

Green Bay Packers vs Buffalo Bills

There are plenty of reasons to NOT do this, but it’s Aaron Rodgers and you might be able to get him with low ownership this week.

Sure, the Bills defense just dominated the Minnesota Vikings offense but good luck repeating that.

In the first two weeks, Buffalo allowed an average of 246 passing yards, on 24 completions and three touchdowns to Joe Flacco and Philip Rivers. Even Kirk Cousins completed 40 of his 55 pass attempts for 296 yards in last weeks upset.

Assuming the Packers jump out to a lead, Williams/Jones could add to the six touchdowns (two receiving) the Bills have allowed to opposing RBs. Jones saw 25% of the team’s snaps in his return to the club last week. With Ty Montgomery also in the backfield, Green Bay’s backfield is going to be tough to predict moving forward.

Green Bay is 9.5 point favorites, with an implied point total of 27.25.

Cleveland Browns @ Oakland Raiders

Four quarters of Baker Mayfield, against this Oakland Raiders defense, on 10 days rest – sign me up!

His ability to stay poised in the pocket and anticipate his throws instantly makes all of his receivers more valuable.

Antonio Callaway has proven to be able to get behind defenders and could burn the Raiders once or twice on Sunday. He only caught four passes for 20 yards against the Jets but was 4th in the NFL in Week 3 air yards.

As Ryan Noonan points out in his Week 4 Totals post for TheQuantEdge.com, the Raiders allow opponents to score on 45% of their possessions! You will need an account to read the article so if you are a new member use the promo code SIXPACK.

The Browns only have a 21 implied point total, but I’ll take the over here. Cleveland is 3 point road underdogs as they look to win two games in a row.
