2018 NFL DFS Week 5 Team Stacks

Tom Brady completed his 500th touchdown pass on Thursday Night Football, and Josh Gordon caught it. It was his first touchdown as a member of the New England Patriots. Eric Ebron had a career night for the Indianapolis Colts in the loss.

The Dallas Cowboys travel to Houston to play the Texans on Sunday Night Football. That means no Deshaun Watson, Ezekiel Elliott, DeAndre Hopkins or Will Fuller in the Week 5 main slate player pool.

On Monday Night Football, the New Orleans Saints host the Washington Redskins. We will not be able to use Mark Ingram in the main slate as he makes his first appearance of the 2018 NFL season. That also means no Drew Brees, Alex Smith, Alvin Kamara, Adrian Peterson, Michael Thomas or Jordan Reed.

On top of all those players not being available, the Chicago Bears and Tampa Bay Buccaneers are on bye weeks.

It’s safe to assume DFS players will be all over the Pittsburgh Steelers (Ben Roethlisberger/Antonio Brown/JuJu Smith-Schuster/Vance McDonald) / Atlanta Falcons (Matt Ryan/Devonta Freeman/Julio Jones/Calvin Ridley) matchup. The over/under of this game is 58 points.

Another popular play will be the Oakland Raiders (Derek Carr/Marshawn Lynch/Amari Cooper/Jared Cook) /  Los Angeles Chargers (Philip Rivers/Melvin Gordon/Keenan Allen) matchup. That game has an over/under of 53 points.

Let’s take a look at some other team stacks that can help you take down a GPP in Week 5!

Goff is so comfortable under center these days and the offense seems to have no trouble moving the football.

Gurley continues to rack up touchdowns and has scored in all four games this year – four rushing and two receiving.

As long as Woods/Kupp are cheaper than Cooks, there is almost no reason to play him over those two.

The Seahawks defense has yet to face anything like this Rams offense.

The over/under is 50 points in this one and the Rams have an implied points total 28.75.

Cincinnati Bengals vs Miami Dolphins

Mixon returns to the Bengals backfield, but Gio Bernard will not play and could miss two or three weeks.

Dalton has been RED hot to start the season, throwing 11 touchdowns during Cincy’s 3-1 start.

Boyd actually leads the team in targets, receptions and yards but Green has five touchdowns.

Tyler Eifert‘s season is over and John Ross will not play.

The Dolphins defense just got torched by Brady and the Pats last week, in what was their first real test of the year. We will find out who they really are in Week 5.

Cincinnati is 6 point favorites, with an implied points total of 27.

Carolina Panthers vs New York Giants

The Giants offense is just terrible right now and the Panthers can run out a clock like no other team in the NFL.

McCaffrey has become the focal point of the offense, ranking 13th in touches in the NFL in one less game.

Newton is always a threat to score a rushing touchdown or two and you just pray he throws for more than 200 yards with a touchdown (or two)!

The Panthers have an implied points total of 25 and are 6.5 point favorites.

If there was ever a week not to stack Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs offense, it’s this week against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Should be a great game to watch though!
