2018 NFL Week 7 Betting Pick-Six: A Little Less Conversation…

…a little more action! Well, I said over and over again in multiple articles that Dallas stinks! They proved all my $&^%-talk wrong, and played their asses off against a stout Jacksonville defense last week!

Because of that, I missed on that pick, along with a handful of others. You win some, you lose some. But, I’m going to get back on the winning path this week.

That being the case, I’m going to hedge my picks by selecting the outcomes of more games. I’m also going to stick to the theme of “a little less conversation…” by focusing on the picks, not the analysis.

Hopefully, this will make the 2018 NFL Week 7 Betting Pick-Six much more successful. Let’s get to the picks!

Against the Spread

Chargers (-6.5) vs. Titans

The “other” team from Los Angeles has had very little trouble putting up the points in the 2018 NFL season. They currently sit at 5th overall with 29.2 points/game. L.A.’s vicious rushing attack led by Melvin Gordon and Austin Eckler has taken pressure off of Philip Rivers.

The Titans have been fairly underwhelming this season, even though they sit tied for first place in the AFC South. Marcus Mariota has played the majority of this season without Delanie Walker and Rishard Matthews. The rushing game has been fairly non-existent. It is shocking to me that they are sitting at .500. That changes this week!

Pick: Chargers

Bears vs. Patriots (-3.0)

The Patriots are coming off of their biggest win of the 2018 season, beating the previously-undefeated Chiefs in a Week 6 thriller. However, it was a win in which they failed to cover the 3.5-point spread. This week, they have a similar spread, although, it’s one that’s more in their favor.

The Bears, meanwhile, have been playing well behind 2nd year quarterback, Mitch Trubisky. He has the potential to have another big day against New England’s porous defense. Unfortunately, I see Chicago failing to notch a win against the AFC East for the second straight week.

Pick: Patriots

Other Favorable A.T.S. Picks:

Pick: Cowboys (+1.0 @ Redskins)

Pick: Dolphins (+3.0 vs. Lions)

Buccaneers vs. Browns (O/U 51.5)

The Bucs looked really, really strong in Week 6, as Jameis Winston returned to lead the team after their Bye Week. Winston has always succeeded against the Falcons, and Atlanta’s defense struggles to keep opponents from scoring.

The Browns defense offers a much stiffer challenge in Week 7, though. The Browns have been my sleeper team all season, and they’ve proved me right…so far. I am also excited to see how Nick Chubb can handle the main workload against a favorable match-up now that Carlos Hyde has been dealt to Jacksonville. I like Cleveland for the win this week, but I think the over-under is a bit high.

Pick: The Under

Other Favorable O/U Picks:

Pick: Jets vs. Vikings (O/U 46) – The Over

Pick: Chiefs vs. Bengals (O/U 58.5) – The Over

Pick: 49ers vs. Rams (O/U 52.5) – The Under

Eagles (-5.0) vs. Panthers (O/U: 44.5)

The Eagles played three-straight close games from Week 3 to Week 5 (point differential of four or less), but the offense finally started to click in Week 6 versus the hapless Giants. The Panthers offer a much-tougher challenge for the soaring Birds, with Christian McCaffrey and Cam Newton leading the charge. Don’t forget that former Eagle and Super Bowl Champion, Torrey Smith now wears Carolina Black and Blue, too! I see the Eagles winning in another close one.

Picks: Panthers and The Over

Colts (-7.5) vs. Bills (O/U: 43)

The Colts are dealing with some injury issues (T.Y. Hilton, Jack Doyle) to some of their big-play guys, and Andrew Luck still seems to be a bit out of rhythm. Meanwhile, the Bills will be starting Derek Anderson at quarterback in Week 7, a mere two weeks after signing him. The Bills will be playing their third-straight game against the AFC South this week, and have been playing better football recently. I think Buffalo surprises us, and Indianapolis, this week, and they could steal a win on the road.

Pick: Bills and The Over

Other Favorable Stack Picks:

Pick: Ravens (-2.5) vs. Saints (O/U 49.5) – Ravens and The Over

Pick: Atlanta (-4.0) vs. Giants (O/U 54) – Atlanta and The Under
