2019-20 Fantasy Basketball Rest of Season Rankings

on

Hi everybody, welcome to the 2019-20 Fantasy Basketball Rest of Season Rankings.

The injuries to elite players is not getting any better. We’ve got updates on a few of the ones mentioned last week as well as new injuries to report.

  • Kyrie Irving is out for the season after electing to get surgery on his shoulder. As mentioned last week Spencer Dinwiddie and Caris LeVert benefit the most.
  • Damian Lillard is still out with an injured groin. There is no timetable for his return.
  • Karl-Anthony Towns is dealing with a wrist fracture. He is out at least another week according to the initial timeline given, but I expect longer.
  • Kemba Walker is dealing with a knee injury. The Celtics don’t think it’s serious so nothing to panic about but keep an eye on it.
  • LeBron James has a groin injury, perhaps after dunking on Josh Hart did it.
  • Andre Drummond has a calf injury, on top of being a slight disappointment for the Cavs.
  • Luka Doncic has a sprained thumb and is day-to-day. Nothing serious right now.
  • Ben Simmons is dealing with a pinched nerve in his back and is day-to-day, but likely out at least a few weeks.
  • Joel Embiid has a shoulder sprain and is being reevaluated in a week and expected to miss longer.

With Fantasy Playoffs approaching it will be tough to stash these players on your bench who are out indefinitely, but I would try to. Hopefully, your league has an IR spot.

Other Notable Updates

  • Zion Williamson is on a tare and is moving up the ranks.
  • Devonte’ Graham has been struggling shooting the ball lately and the coach actually sat him out a game earlier this week. He drops in the rankings.
  • Coby White, now has a slight back injury, has been a straight baller lately, scoring over 30 points in his last three games. He jumps just inside the top 100 and will easily go higher if the production continues.
  • Christian Wood appears to have finally cracked the starting lineup for the Pistons and gets a boost in the rankings.
  • Draymond Green has been a massive disappointment this season and is now recording DNPs. He is honestly a cut candidate for me.
