2019-20 Fantasy Basketball Rest of Season Rankings

on

Hi everybody, welcome to the 2019-20 Fantasy Basketball Rest of Season Rankings.

One of my featured image players, Joel Embiid was lost to injury this past week. We don’t know anything other than its a torn ligament in his left hand and he will be evaluated in two weeks. That was three days ago at the time of writing this. I have dropped him in the rankings for now hoping it is not going to be too much longer. I will adjust when we get a clearer picture in a couple of weeks.

Another dominant big man, Anthony Davis is dealing with a tailbone bruise. He has missed the last two games, and may miss a couple more, but it does not look like a long-term issue. He stays where he is at right now in the rankings.

An update on Karl-Anthony Towns is we don’t have one. He is still listed as questionable, with the team saying “he is getting closer”. It has now been 13 straight games so I’m not sure what “getting closer” means anymore. I had not dropped him in the previous rankings, but did so here just a bit. In the meantime, Gorgui Dieng is a must-own player.

Other Notable Updates

  • Jonathan Isaac is likely done for the season with a knee injury.
  • Wizards got Bradley Beal and Thomas Bryant back from their absences.
  • Derrick Rose has been great the last couple of weeks and has moved into the top-100. Injury risk keeps his value down.
  • I’m worried about Kristaps Porzingis‘s knee and have dropped him to just inside the top-100.
  • Jrue Holiday has an elbow injury and there is no timetable for his return. He slips a bit in the rankings. J.J. Redick should be owned while he is out.
  • Eric Gordon has returned from his injury and is shooting well again. He can be owned if you need points and threes.
  • Joe Ingles appears to be back in form after a poor start to the season. He is a must-own player while Mike Conley is still out.
  • We still have not seen Zion Williamson this season, but last word is targeting a return this month. He is buried on the rankings until we get a pulse on him.
