Starts Of The Week

Isaiah Thomas, Washington Wizards, PG (47%)

Thomas is starting to return to his form when he was with the Celtics. In his previous five games, Thomas averaged 27.4 minutes, 17 points, 3.8 assists, and 2.4 rebounds. During that span, he shot 52.5 percent from the field and shot 48.4 percent from three-point range. His Week 10 schedule will continue to pad his stats.

Thomas has two games against the Knicks in Week 10. New York has allowed 23.9 points, 7.7 assists, 6.5 rebounds, and 3.2 three-pointers made per game to point guards.

Thomas’ matchup against Detroit won’t hamper his production. The Pistons have allowed 23.4 points, 8.8 assists, and 6.9 rebounds per game to point guards.

Cameron Johnson, Phoenix Suns, SG/SF (3%)

Johnson has been a reliable option off the bench for the Suns but should get more of an increased workload with his favorable matchups in Week 10.

In his last 10 games, Johnson averaged 10.2 points, 5.3 three-pointers-made, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.4 assists. His stats aren’t super impressive, but Johnson is an extremely efficient player.

Johnson averages 16 points, 5.4 rebounds, 3.5 three-pointers-made, and 1.7 assists per 36 minutes. Those proficient skills will be seen against the Kings and Warriors.

The Warriors have allowed 27.3 points, 6.4 rebounds, 5.3 assists, and 4.4 three-pointers-made to shooting guards.

The Kings have allowed 23.3 points, 5.4 rebounds, 5.1 assists, and 3.4 three-pointers-made to shooting guards.

Johnson is dealing with a hip injury, but the Suns are resting a few games and should be ready for the start of Week 10.

Sits For The Week

OG Anunoby, Toronto Raptors, SF/PF (68%)

Anunoby has struggled against defenses who are active against small forwards. If you go through Anunoby’s game log, when you see a single-digit point total (there’s quite a few), it was against a strong defense.

The Raptors have two games against the Boston Celtics, which is not suitable for Anunoby. The last time he played Boston, He scored nine points, eight rebounds, and had two turnovers. Plus, he fouled out of the game. The Celtics aren’t his only challenging matchup in Week 10 (Indiana, Oklahoma City).

The Pacers have allowed only 20.6 points, 4.4 assists, and 2.1 three-pointers made per game to small forwards.

The Thunder have allowed 21.3 points, 4.4 assists, and 2.1 three-pointers made per game to small forwards.

Pascal Siakam is out indefinitely with a groin injury, and it would seem that Anunoby will have increased workload, but I would wait until Week 11 to reinsert him in your lineup. He needs to prove to Fantasy owners that he can overcome defenders and get buckets.

Derrick Favors, New Orleans Pelicans, PF/C (74%)

I know the Pelicans ended their losing streak, but things are not going to get better for the Pelicans in Week 10, especially Favors.

The Pelicans face off against two teams in the top ten in defensive rating, Denver (103.1) and Indiana (103.7). Don’t expect any kind of production from Favors in those matchups, and his matchup against Houston is also problematic.

Houston has allowed only 19.6 points and 13.8 rebounds to power forwards and centers. Just remember in a previous game against the Rockets, Favors had four points, five rebounds, and 4 turnovers.

About Travis Argo

I'm a die hard fan of teams that constantly disappointment me every season. So, I write about fantasy sports to forget my sorrows. That's hard sometimes because I'm a Pacers correspondent for Fantasypros.com. I also recently graduated with honors from UNCC. Go Niners...I guess.
