Welcome to the 2019-20 Fantasy Basketball Week 12 Weekly Planner!

Each week, I'll review which teams play favorable or unfavorable schedules and weekly streamers and weekly streamers and sits.

Streamers will focus on players with 50% or less ownership. And hey, if they play well, they might find a permanent spot on your roster.

Weekly Schedule (January 6 to January 12)

Two games: LAC

Starts For The Week

Jordan Clarkson, Utah Jazz, PG/SG, (29%)

Clarkson has to be happy to be out of Cleveland, and to be with a contending team. In Week 12, Clarkson will have plenty of opportunities to shine for Fantasy owners.

In December, Clarkson averaged 15.5 points, 6.4 three-pointers attempts, 2.4 rebounds, and 2 assists. So hopefully he'll keep that momentum in January and with his new team.

Since joining the Jazz, he is getting solid minutes (22.7), and averaging 14 points. He has had three consecutive games with double-digit point totals. The Jazz's Week 12 opponents (New Orleans, New York, Charlotte, Washington) are going to get thrashed by Clarkson.

Each one of these teams has a terrible defense rating, Washington 115.9, Charlotte 112.6, New Orleans 112, and New York 111.9.

Three of Clarkson's opponents can not stop point guards. The Pelicans have allowed 25.7 points and 9.2 assists; the Knicks have allowed 24.9 points and 3.3 three-pointers made; the Wizards have allowed 27 points, 5.7 assists, and 3.9 three-pointers made per game to point guards.

Clarkson has a cakewalk, so go grab his hand and walk with him (he might not like, but screw him).

Langston Galloway, Detroit Pistons, PG/SG (8%)

Reggie Jackson is dealing with a back injury, and Luke Kennard is nursing a knee injury which means there are plenty of minutes for Galloway.

In Week 12, the Pistons have two games against their division foe, the Cleveland Cavaliers who have been awful against point guards and has the second-worst defensive rating in the NBA (113.7).

The Cavaliers have allowed 25.1 points, 9.7 assists, and 5.8 rebounds to point guards per game. Galloway has been productive against Cleveland this season.

Last time he played Cleveland, he scored 14 points and shot 56.1 percent from the field. Galloway will be a great sneaky option for Fantasy owners in Week 12.

Sits For The Week

Dejounte Murray, San Antonio Spurs, PG (79%)

The Spurs have to face the top-three teams in defensive rating in Week 12, Milwaukee Bucks 101.2 (1), Toronto Raptors 103.9 (2), and Boston Celtics 104 (3). That should scare you away, but if you need more to sit Murray, I'll provide you more.

Three out of the four games will be on the road. Murray averaged 10.1 points and shot 14.3 percent from three-point range in previous road games. His field goal percentage drops on the road, he shot 84.4 percent in home games and shot 73.1 percent in away games.

Murray has played two of his Week 12 opponents already this year and it did not go well for him.

Last time he faced the Celtics, Murray shot 25 percent from the field and scored only four points. In two games against the Grizzlies, Murray averaged nine points.

Avoid Murray and his defensive juggernaut schedule.

Dwight Powell, Dallas Mavericks, PF/C (48%)

Powell is close enough to the threshold I'm going to include him in the Sit section. Plus, the only two Mavericks above 50 percent ownership are Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis. Even though Dallas has an extremely tough schedule in Week 12, I can't tell Fantasy owners to sit Luka or Porzingis. So, Dwight Powell, it is.

Every team the Mavericks faced in Week 12 are in the top ten in defensive rating, Chicago Bulls 104.8, Los Angeles Lakers 104.8, Philadelphia 76ers 105, and Denver Nuggets 105.8.

The Lakers and Sixers destroy power forwards and centers. The Lakers only allowed 19.2 points and 12.8 rebounds to centers. The Sixers allowed 19.3 points and 10.4 rebounds to power forwards.

Powell has played quite a few minutes with Porzingis out with injury, but Porzingis is expected to return in Week 12, which is bad news for Powell.

In his last 20 games, where he started with Porzingis, Powell averaged 26.4 minutes, 8.3 points, and 5.8 rebounds. Porzingis will sap all of Powell's production.

Lebron James, Antonio Davis, Joel Embiid, and Nikola Jokic are scary-ass defenders and are not going to allow Powell to get the rim.
