2019 Fantasy Baseball Week 10 Drop List

The Milwaukee Brewers did the unthinkable and “dropped” Keston Hiura back to AAA so Travis Shaw could return to the lineup.

Hiura hit .281 with five home runs in just 69 plate appearances.

The Philadelphia Phillies and Fantasy Baseball owners just lost Andrew McCutchen for the season as well.

There are probably dozens of us who had both Hiura and McCutchen in our lineups to start the week!

Eloy Jimenez, OF, Chicago White Sox

Dynasty nerds, skip to the next guy.

In redraft, it’s time to move on.

If you want to roster a guy with a 25+% K-BB%, he needs to provide some pop.

At this point in time, Eloy can barely buy a base hit.

Michael Chavis, 1B/2B/3B, Boston Red Sox

It was fun while it lasted, but Chavis has cooled off significantly.

He has one extra-base hit (a triple) since his last home run back on May 22nd.

It appears teams now have an official scouting report on him and are attacking his weak spots.

In the last two weeks, his K% is up to 35% while his walk rate is down to under 6%. In that same time frame, he owns a 40% soft contact, the worst (highest) in baseball among qualified hitters.

Jurickson Profar, 1B/2B/3B/SS, Oakland Athletics

It appears as though Profar has already shown us what type of player he is and it’s not one that you want on your Fantasy team(s).

There are more than enough super-utility players that you can roster that can play multiple positions that are better than Profar.

Sure, he has some pop but not nearly enough to warrant the sixth worst wOBA among qualified hitters.

Yusei Kikuchi, SP, Seattle Mariners

20 hits…20 hits in his last two 6.2 innings pitched with just one strikeout.

He is either injured or just not very good.

Either way, he does not belong on a Fantasy Baseball roster right now.

Like the tweet say, the Mariners skipped his last start.
