2019 NFL DFS Week 1 Stacks

on

Welcome to the 2019 NFL DFS season! It’s Week 1 and we can fully expect to see tons of generic DFS Stacks across all the sites.

Baker Mayfield, Nick Chubb and Odell Beckham against the Tennessee Titans.

Patrick Mahomes, Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce at the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Game stacks of the Minnesota Vikings vs Atlanta Falcons matchup.(Stefon Diggs is dealing with a hamstring injury!)

That is all well and good in cash games, but in order to take down a GPP, you will have to find some lesser owned stacks to propel you to to the top of the leaderboard.

It is not recommended to play a TE in the FLEX position, but this game might be an exception to the rule!

This game features two of the four WORST projected secondaries in the NFL, according to Pro Football Focus. The Niners do however have a projected top-10 pass rush.

Winston is $800 more than Jimmy G on DK and now the second most expensive QB behind Patrick Mahomes with Andrew Luck retiring.

I personally will roll with Garoppolo over Winston and spread my savings out on my RBs/WRs.

For DraftKings lineups, Garoppolo/Godwin/Kittle is a great trio to build your lineup around. This allows you to play two or three of the higher-priced running backs, like Nick Chubb and Dalvin Cook, and then add in WRs from some of the games with higher point totals, like Dede Westbrook.

On Fanduel, there is just a $300 difference in salary and a place I will absolutely be playing Winston.

If you are playing on FanDuel, this is where you can roll out the Winston/Evans/Howard stack with a Pettis and/or Samuel mixed in to formulate the game stack. Let’s ignore the rookie WR for the purpose of this example and roll with Dante. With this lineup, you can mix in some of the midrange RBs like Chris Carson and Kerryon Johnson while adding a lower-priced WR1 like Brandin Cooks or Tyler Lockett.

Matthew Stafford
Kenny Golladay
Marvin Jones

All of the hype building around the Lions this offseason has been because of Kerryon Johnson. However, that threat alone should open things up for Golladay and Jones who are going to face a Cardinals secondary without Patrick Peterson (suspended) and Robert Alford (broken leg).

Vegas has this one at just 46.5 points and the Lions are 2.5 point road favorites.

Kerryon Johnson is still a strong play this week, but he is expected to have very high ownership.

Should Kyler Murray, starting his first NFL game, find a way to create magic against the Lions defense, Stafford will have to keep pace with a potentially explosive offense.

On both DK and FD, this trio allows you to add a top-priced TE while not having to sacrifice your RBs and third WR.

Cam Newton
Christian McCaffrey
D.J. Moore
Curtis Samuel

The Rams are going to score points on this Panthers defense. On every defense.

If healthy, Cam can move the offense against this Rams defense. It’s not his throwing shoulder that is the health issue this time, it’s his foot. Twitter says the foot sprain should not be an issue in Week 1.

Samuel is $1,300 cheaper than Moore on DraftKings, but just $300 less on FanDuel. Pick one or the other!

Jacksonville Jaguars

Nick Foles
Leonard Fournette
Dede Westbrook

The highest projected point total on the main slate by Vegas at 51.5 points, but with the Jaguars being home they are just 3.5 point underdogs.

The Chiefs defense is not expected to be any good and Jacksonville will have no choice but to rely on Nick Foles to keep this game close.

Fournette is expected to see more targets this season and while Westbrook is chalk this week, this trio provides you with enough salary relief to add two of the higher priced studs.
