2020-21 Fantasy Basketball Week 4 Waiver Wire

on

Welcome to the 2020-21 Fantasy Basketball Week 4 Waiver Wire.

The focus will be on players that are roughly less than 40% owned in Yahoo leagues with some over 40%. Make sure that you check your league’s availability.

I will try to keep each wavier wire column focused on new names, only touching on previous players if they may still be widely available.

With position eligibility being different in each league, this column will just reference the positions as a generic Guard, Forward, and Center.

Cole Anthony, G, Orlando Magic (40% rostered Yahoo)

Unfortunately, the Magic lost Markelle Fultz for the season with a torn ACL this week.

Anthony will be the direct benefactor of this tragic injury, handling the point guard duties.

He should be a good source of assists the rest of the way, and his PPG should rise as he will be asked to shoot more.

Keep in mind that Anthony is a rookie still, so he will inevitably put up some stinkers.

Mortiz Wagner, C, Washington Wizards (23% rostered Yahoo)

Like the Magic above, the Wizards lost a starter (Thomas Bryant) to an ACL tear this week.

The obvious choice to see their minutes increase would the likes of Robin Lopez & Davis Bertans.

Wagner adds more offensive upside over Lopez and Bertans is more widely owned.

He has shown flashes of his potential last year and scored 13 points with seven rebounds in his first game without Bryant this year.

Payton Pritchard, G – Boston Celtics (17% rostered Yahoo)

Pritchard is making the most of his early-season minutes in Boston.

He is chipping in with 8.6 PPG, 1.1 3PM/G, 2.4 RPG, 3.1 APG, 1.3 SPG.

As you can see by that stat line he is contributing in almost every category.

Kemba Walker still is not cleared for games, Jayson Tatum is on the covid list, so his minutes should spike.

Hamidou Diallo, G – Oklahoma City Thunder (34% rostered Yahoo)

Diallo has put together back to back solid games in which he has put up over 20 points in both.

He has also seen his minutes spike over the last three games, averaging 24 MPG.

The Thunder are very young and it seems that they want to see what they have with their young assets.

With that being the case, snag Diallo now, as he should help you with points and rebounds.
