2021-22 Fantasy Basketball Drop List

Welcome everyone to the 2020-21 Fantasy Basketball Week 7 Drop List.

We are now seven weeks into the NBA season and things are starting to come back to normal, somewhat. We are still dealing with Covid, injuries, and all of that but I feel like that might be the new normal.

The drop list is becoming more of a challenge as we get deeper into the season because of Covid (don't drop the star players if they have it) but as always we will get through this and I will provide some players you need to drop.

Now. I will also put a few players down in the danger zone. Keep an eye on these guys throughout the week.

Alec Burks, SG/SF, New York Knicks - 38% rostered in Yahoo Leagues

Current Ranking: 247

Since returning from his ankle injury Alec Burks has been struggling tremendously. In his last six games, Alec Burks has only gone over 10+ points twice. He had one game where he put up 18 points but other than that it's been mediocre for him. This past week Burks is averaging 7.7 points on 33% shooting. For someone that is a solid three shooter, Burks is making just under one three a game in the last week which is off-putting for a fantasy player with Alec Burks on their team.

If you are in category leagues he isn't going to provide you with many points in any category except scoring. With very low assist(2.3) and rebounding(4.5) numbers I would highly suggest dropping him now.

Davis Bertans, PF/C, Washington Wizards - 63% rostered in Yahoo Leagues

Once again Davis Bertans is on this list and that is because he is still rostered at 63% in Yahoo leagues. Why is this?

For one, he has been gone for almost the whole year so I don't see why you would keep him on your team through that.

Secondly, Bertans is also not scoring very well since his return.

In these last two games, he is averaging 27.5 minutes while scoring six points a game. His shooting percentage is putrid(20%) and his free throw percentage(33%) is not any better. In category leagues, he will bring down your shooting percentages and will not provide any assists, steals, or blocks. Drop him now he shouldn't be this highly rostered.

DeMarcus Cousins, PF/C, Houston Rockets - 57% rostered in Yahoo Leagues

Currently Ranked: 181

Once again DeMarcus Cousins is now on the drop list. With Christian Wood coming back there isn't much of a need to have him on your fantasy teams. DeMarcus Cousins is only averaging 12.5 minutes a game since the return of Christian Wood. Currently, Cousins is only averaging 5 points a game along with 3.5 rebounds now that he is no longer a starter. You can safely drop him now and not feel one ounce of remorse.

Danger Zone

I will provide a few players you should think about dropping or keep an eye out on in the coming week.

Naz Reid, C, Minnesota Timberwolves - 36% rostered in Yahoo Leagues

Karl Anthony-Towns will be coming back in the near future. This is more of a future drop for you guys. Naz Reid has been playing great with Towns out but with him coming back I don't see much value in keeping Naz Reid on your guys' fantasy teams.

Kendrick Nunn, SG/SF, Miami Heat - 25% rostered in Yahoo Leagues

This might be cheating a little bit. That is because Jimmy Butler will be coming back and Kendrick Nunn is currently awaiting test results for covid so he won't be playing for a little bit. With Jimmy Butler out, Kendrick Nunn has been playing very well averaging over 30 minutes with 17.7 points a game on 48% shooting.
