2020 Fantasy Football Week 15 Trends

Welcome to the 2020 Fantasy Football Week 15 Trends!

Let me start off this article by announcing that the New York Jets won a game! They will not be going 0-16 this year like everyone thought they would. That one win comes at a loss though and now will have to suffer the long-term consequences. Because of that win against the Los Angeles Rams now the Jacksonville Jaguars own the number one pick to draft Trevor Lawrence in the draft.

So even when the Jets win, they still lose. I’m sorry to all those die-hard Jets fans, in due time. If your the Philidelphia Eagles, on the other hand, you’re wondering what’s the easiest way to get rid of Carson Wentz so Jalen Hurts can take the job. Hurts was the QB1 on week 15 believe it or not. He finished with 338 passing yards, three passing touchdowns and had 11 carries for 63 yards and a rushing touchdown.

Let’s jump into the 2020 Fantasy Football Week 15 Trends to see what I found!

1. Jalen Hurts looks better than Carson Wentz

We might as well start with the man of the day, Jalen Hurts. He went on the road for his second start to face off against the Arizona Cardinals and lit them up. As I stated before in the intro paragraph he finished as QB1 on the week with 338 passing yards and three passing touchdowns. He also added 11 carries for 63 yards and a rushing touchdown. He was quoted after the game saying: “I think I hate losing more than I love winning.”

You love to hear words like that when his next game is against the Dallas Cowboys. The Cowboys are allowing the 8th most fantasy points to QBs this year. On average quarterbacks who play the Cowboys average 7.8% more points than the average team. Hurts has 198 rushing yards in the three games he’s played in this year. That alone gives you enough confidence to start him next week with a very solid floor.

2. Cole Beasley is enjoying a career year.

Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs aren’t the only ones on the Bills that are having career years. Cole Beasley is having the best year of his nine-year career. Through Week 15, Beasley has the most catches he’s had in a season with 79 receptions for 950 yards and four touchdowns. The 950 receiving yards is also a career-high for Beasley.

Since John Brown headed to the IR with an ankle injury, Beasley has seen 10 targets three straight games. In two out of the three games without Brown, Beasley has 8+ receptions for 110+ receiving yards. With Stefon Diggs now banged up a little, expect Allen to lean more on Beasley in the last couple of games.

3. Marvin Jones Jr. shines again without Golladay.

This one took me by surprise people, but Marvin Jones Jr. is killing it without Kenny Golladay out on the field. Since Golladay’s last game in Week 8, Jones has had five games of eight-plus targets. In four of those five games he saw double-digit targets and has two games in the past three with eight-plus receptions for 100+ yards.

I don’t expect Golladay or the Lions to rush him back on the field with nothing to play for. With that being said, Marvin Jones is usable for the last two games against the Buccaneers and the Vikings. As long as Matthew Stafford can stay on the field with him, I trust these two to help you win your matchups.

4. D.J. Moore please give us more.

D.J. Moore had his best game of the year for receiving yards against the Green Bay Packers with six receptions for 131 yards. Unfortunately, he didn’t reach the endzone, but it’s a sign of positivity for someone who hasn’t necessarily returned value where you drafted him this year. Moore has 28 targets in the past three games with 17 receptions which is the most in a three game stretch this year for him.

In two of those three games he’s surpassed 125 receiving yards, and the other one he amassed just 61 receiving yards. His next two matchups are against the Washington Football Team and the New Orleans Saints. They’re not great matchups, but with Robby Anderson drawing the number one corners and all the focus, Moore could take advantage.
