Well, here we go again. Another week, and another potential major injury to a fantasy superstar. The potential loss of Odell Beckham is upsetting for NFL viewers and for fantasy owners of him. It seems to me that every week we are going to lose a fantasy superstar.
I had a feeling this was going to be a rough year for fantasy owners. I couldn't have been any more right since we are going through a massive amount of injuries while also dealing with Covid.
With a heavy heart, I would like to welcome you all to the 2020 Fantasy Football Week 7 Injury Impact article. As always I will be going over the major and minor injuries that happened on Sunday. I will also be going over the impact of these injuries.

Odell Beckham Jr, WR, Cleveland Browns - Knee (TBD, doesn't look good)
Unfortunately, star WR Odell Beckham injured his knee on an early 1st quarter interception by Baker Mayfield. At first, it didn't look like it would be a big injury, but once he went back to the locker room there was some worry beginning to creep in. The latest word is that it doesn't look good for Odell Beckham, which would have huge implications in fantasy.
If Odell Beckham misses the rest of the year I believe Jarvis Landry (five catches for 48 yards in Week 7) will benefit the most. He now moves into WR3 consideration for me. Some other names to look out for are tight end Harrison Bryant (2 TD's), and receivers Rashard Higgins (six catches, 110 yards) and Donovan Peoples-Jones (game-winning TD). These players should be on the waiver wire and you should be keeping an eye on them.
Kareem Hunt should receive more targets in the passing game, bringing his value up. Baker Mayfield's fantasy value might actually go up too. This might be a hot take but he looked really good without Odell Beckham out there, throwing for five touchdowns and zero interceptions.
Kenyan Drake, RB, Arizona Cardinals - Ankle (TBD, Carted off which is not good)
Kenyan Drake for the most part this fantasy season has been a disappointment, but he had his best game against the Cowboys last week. This performance from him didn't show much because tonight as he struggled mightily to get anything going. In the 4th quarter, he injured his ankle on a rush attempt and ended up getting carted off the field. This didn't look good and I expect him to be missing quite a few weeks. We will know more Monday when they do an MRI.
Chase Edmonds who caught seven balls for 87 yards tonight while also rushing the ball for 55 yards should already be rostered but if he isn't please go and pick him up right now. He should instantly become a great flex option at the least.
Dede Westbrook, WR, Jacksonville Jaguars - Knee (TBD, Not Good though)
Not many of you have Dede Westbrook on your fantasy teams but he ended up getting carted off the field after injuring his knee in Sunday's game.
Dede Westbrook had very little impact so I don't expect much to change.
Minor Impact Injuries
Chris Carson, RB, Seattle Seahawks - Foot (TBD)
Chris Carson just can't seem to stay healthy a full season. In Sunday night's game, Chris Carson rushed for 34 yards before coming up with a foot injury and not returning to the game. As of right now, there isn't much news out there but it seems like he should have avoided a major injury. He may have to miss one week but that would be the most.
In his absence, Carlos Hyde would likely take over as the starter with Travis Homer mixing in on passing downs.
Deebo Samuel, WR, San Francisco 49ers - Hamstring (1+ Weeks)
Super talented WR Deebo Samuel was having a solid day today before injuring his hamstring. Once again the hamstrings are attacking our football players.
Other than the obvious George Kittle, Brandon Aiyuk should receive more targets with Deebo Samuel more than likely set to miss a couple more weeks. Aiyuk enjoyed a career day catching the ball six times for 115 yards.
Jeff Wilson, RB, San Francisco 49ers - High Ankle Sprain (2+ Weeks)
After rushing the ball for 112 yards and three touchdowns, Jeff Wilson came down with an injured ankle in Sunday's game. As of right now, they believe it's a high ankle sprain which means he will be missing a couple of weeks.
Jerrick McKinnon and JaMychal Hasty are some names to look out for.
Diontae Johnson, WR, Pittsburgh Steelers - Lower Leg Injury
Diontae Johnson said himself after the game that he will be fine. Monitor this for next week just in case. Johnson was very solid in fantasy today catching two touchdowns. If he misses extended time, look for Juju Smith-Schuster and Chase Claypool to soak up those targets. Eric Ebron also becomes more appealing in good matchups.
Head Injuries
For the first this year we had an outbreak of head injuries. Usually there are a few here and there every week but this week there were multiple head injuries, unfortunately.
Andy Dalton, QB, Dallas Cowboys - Concussion (At least 1 Week)
Ben Dinucci as of right now will be the QB of the Dallas Cowboys. I doubt this will last. I assume the Cowboys will pick someone up or trade for someone.
Phillip Lindsay, RB, Denver Broncos - Concussion (At least 1 Week)
Melvin Gordon will receive a majority of the carries now for the time being until Phillip Lindsay comes back.
N'Keal Harry, WR, New England Patriots - Head (TBD)
Harry hasn't been fantasy relevant lately. This whole offense has been bad so I would be avoiding all of them for now.
Breshad Perriman, WR, New York Jets - Concussion (At least 1 Week)
He's not very fantasy-relevant right now. Denzel Mims, who saw 10 targets in his NFL debut, will get more opportunities on the field now.
