2020 Fantasy Football Week 8 IDP Rankings

on

It’s time for some 2020 Fantasy Football Week 8 IDP Rankings! Find out where your favorite players stack up this week! As we creep past the halfway point of the season it’s becoming increasingly important every week to be on top of our lineups and knowing who to start.

Part of creating the best lineup is evaluating the player’s skills to their matchups and comparing them to other players of a similar caliber. You’ll be able to get a glimpse of that with these rankings. Another part of that process is evaluating injuries and planning ahead throughout the week to prepare for gameday. We’ll begin that process today, and I’ll follow that up with an injury update article later this week so stay tuned.

Lets kick off the Post Week 7 Injury Report

Post Week 7 Injury Report

  • Jordan Hicks, LB of the Arizona Cardinals left Week 7 with an ankle injury and is on Bye this week
  • Krys Barnes, LB of the Green Bay Packers is questionable with a shoulder injury
  • Darius Leonard, LB of the Indianapolis Colts is questionable with a groin injury
  • Myles Jack, LB of the Jacksonville Jaguars is dealing with an ankle injury, and will have the Bye Week to get healthy
  • Kwon Alexander, LB of the San Francisco 49ers is questionable with a high ankle sprain
  • Jamal Adams, S of the Seattle Seahawks is questionable with a groin injury
  • Montez Sweat, DL/LB of the Washington Football Team is dealing with a concussion
  • Landon Collins, S of the Washington Football Team tore his Achilles and is out for the season

Early Week Injury Breakdown

Jordan Hicks will likely be able to make a quick recovery barring anything unforeseen. However, it would make for an interesting storyline should he miss time. As it would give rookie LB Isaiah Simmons an opportunity to start, and would allow the Cardinals to evaluate him over the span of a full game.

Green Bay needs Krys Barnes healthy. He’s battled through injuries so far this season, I imagine he’ll be okay for a great matchup against Minnesota.

Darius Leonard is on the comeback train, should he return Anthony Walker is likely droppable. While Bobby Okereke remains start worthy.

Head Coach Doug Marrone mentioned that Myles Jack is on pace to return in Week 9, after their Bye Week.

Kwon Alexander will likely miss at least one more week with his high ankle sprain. Should he sit again Dre Greenlaw is worthy of another spot start.

Please come back Jamal Adams. I miss you.

If Montez Sweat enters the concussion protocol he should have ample time to clear it by game time in Week 9, thanks to a convenient Bye Week.

My heart breaks in back to back weeks with the loss of Devin Bush and now Landon Collins. I covered yesterday in my Week 8 IDP Waiver Wire article my thoughts on who can benefit from this situation. However news did come out today that the Football Team has considered signing Eric Reid formerly of the Carolina Panthers, Head Coach Ron Rivera‘s former team. Coupled with that news I’d say he’s worth a speculative add.
