2020 NFL DFS Week 16 DraftKings Picks

on

Welcome back to my 2020 NFL DFS Week 16 DraftKings Picks.

This is where I usually give a recap of all the great things that happened in the previous week. But let’s get real there is only one thing that is worth talking about. Adam Gase and the New York Jets winning their first game of the season.

But in typical Adam Gase fashion, he failed by succeeding. The Jets win knocked them out of the first draft pick in the 2021 NFL Draft to the Jacksonville Jaguars. His ineptitude would be comical if it wasn’t so sad. But enough Gase bashing, let’s get to why you are here.

Here are some of my picks this week.

Mitchell Trubisky, QB, Chicago Bears, ($5,700)

Trubisky is not a good QB, but he can be good for Fantasy purposes. Trubisky is going up against the Jacksonville Jaguars this week, so sit back and watch the points flow.

Since returning as the starting quarterback, Trubisky has thrown eight touchdowns in four games with the Bears averaging 31 points per game.

DraftKings outlook:

Fantasy Six Pack has Trubisky projected for just under 19 points. The Jaguars are ranked 25th against the quarterback position.

The Jags offense is equally as bad, so I’m looking for the Bears to have great starting field position for most of the game.

The Bears are my favorite stack this week so look to add David Montgomery and Allen Robinson.

Other QBs I like this week:  Jared Goff ($5,900), Baker Mayfield ($6,100), and Jalen Hurts ($7,000)

J.D McKissic, RB, Washington Football Team, ($6,400)

McKissic has been up and down this season, and you have to pick your spots when playing him. The Carolina Panthers defense is the spot.

No matter who the quarterback is going to be for the WFT, they are going to give McKissic a lot of targets.

If Antonio Gibson is active he is not going to have a huge snap count. So we will see McKissic on the field a lot.

DraftKings outlook:

Fantasy Six Pack has McKissic projected for almost 15 points. The Panthers are ranked 29th against the running back position.

Luke Kuechly‘s retirement has really hurt the Panther’s run defense, as they have not found anyone to replace him. Washington is playing to clinch the NFC East and they are going to need McKissic to win this game.

Other RBs I like this week: Le’Veon Bell ($5,800), David Johnson ($6,100), and J.K. Dobbins ($6,200)

Ceedee Lamb, WR, Dallas Cowboys, ($5,300)

Lamb leaped frogged Michael Gallup to become the number two receiver in Dallas. Lamb is the player most likely to make a big play.

Andy Dalton looks like he has found his footing in this offense, and Lamb is a big reason for that.

DraftKings outlook:

Fantasy Six Pack has Lamb projected for almost 13 points. The Philadelphia Eagles are ranked 20th against the wide receiver.

When you get a divisional matchup all the rules go out the window. Both teams are fighting for a shot at the playoffs.

Other WRs I like this week: Jamison Crowder ($4,500), Brandin Cooks ($6,200), and Robert Woods ($7,000)

Logan Thomas, TE, Washington Football Team, ($4,900)

That’s right reader, I’m choosing another Football Team player. Thomas has been playing well as of late, putting up 101 yards on 13 receptions in his last game.

Thomas is one of the few tight ends that is not touchdown-dependent.

No matter who is under center for Washington on Sunday, they are going to need Thomas to be successful.

DraftKings outlook:

Fantasy Six Pack has Thomas projected for over 11 points. The Panthers are ranked 25th against the tight end position.

Thomas had 15 targets in his last game, and he could see that same target share in this game.

Other TEs I like this week: Jordan Akins ($3,300) Hayden Hurst ($3,400), and Tyler Higbee ($4,000)
