2020 NFL DFS Week 2 DraftKings Picks

Welcome back to my  2020 NFL DFS Week 2 Draftkings picks.

We saw two long-awaited returns at quarterback with Cam Newton winning his first start with the New England Patriots and Ben Roethlisberger back under center in Pittsburgh for the Steelers.

Newton reminded the league he is healthy, rushing for 75 yards and two touchdowns. He was the Cam of old helping the New England Patriots get their first win of the season

Big Ben balled out on the first Monday night game of the season, throwing three touchdown passes against the New York Giants. He proved he is healthy and is poised to have another big year.

Now on to Week 2, and a new set of games.

Kendrick Bourne, WR, San Francisco 49ers, ($4,900)

We can all pretty much admit that Bourne did not have a good Week 1. He only caught two of his five targets (tied for team-high with four others) for 34 yards in a 24-20 loss to the Arizona Cardinals.

With Deebo Samuel out for a couple more games, Bourne is due to go off.

In Week 2, he gets to go up against the New York Jets secondary. If George Kittle plays in Sunday's game he will not be 100%.

San Francisco added Mohamed Sanu but he should not cut in Bourne's targets.

DraftKings outlook

Stefon Diggs scored 16 DraftKings points and John Brown added another 19 points on DraftKings. Teams should continue to have a field day against the Jets secondary.

I guess trading your best player away and alienating the rest don't make for good team chemistry (great job Adam Gase).

Being called out by your Head Coach never feels good. Jimmy Garoppolo has something to prove as he looks to right the ship.

Bourne was tied for targets with five and he should be the beneficiary of Garoppolo airing it out.

This will be a good game to stack. Pairing Bourne with Jimmy G ($5,700) and Raheem Mostert ($6,400) against this Jets defense will secure you some points at a good price.

Michael Gallup, WR, Dallas Cowboys, ($5,600)

Here I go again picking on another bad defense.

Gallup had the same target count as rookie receiver CeeDee Lamb, so some will be down on him. However, Gallup has proven to be one of Dak Prescott's main targets. Last year Amari Cooper had 119 targets in 16 games while Gallup had 113 targets in 13 games.

But most importantly, this game against the Atlanta Falcons can become a shootout, giving Gallup a lot of opportunities to make some big plays.

DraftKings outlook

Gallup caught three out of five passes for 50 yards in Week 1 against the Los Angeles Rams. He was matched up with Troy Hill for most of the night. Hill has become an excellent cover corner and gave the third-year receiver fits all night. However, Gallup is not going to have to deal with that kind of coverage when playing the Falcons.

Atlanta's defense will give up points to multiple receivers, as we saw in Week 1 vs the Seahawks - Tyler Lockett (17 DK pts) and D.K. Metcalf (19 DK pts).

Gallup is projected for 14 on DraftKings according to F6P DFS projections. Pair him with Dak Prescott ($6.800).

Malcolm Brown, RB, Los Angeles Rams ($5,700)

Although Sean McVay is saying he wants to go with a committee in the backfield, it was clear Brown was the best RB. Moreover, Brown is the longest-tenured of the three and he looks like he has the trust of his Head Coach.

However, the Philadelphia Eagles do have a good run defense.

McVay will be well prepared for them on Sunday and Brown is going to be set up for a big game on both the ground and in the passing game.

DraftKings outlook

Brown had a good Fantasy day with 79 rushing yards on 18 attempts and caught three of four targets for 31 yards.

He was also the guy on the field when the Rams got down inside the five and was able to punch it in for two touchdowns help to make him the RB5 on DraftKings Week 1.

Brown is projected for over 10 points on DraftKings. This gives him a nice floor to put in your lineup. You can pair him with teammate Tyler Higbee ($4,700) if you are looking for a cheap Tight End with upside and Jared Goff ($5,800).

The Eagles could not hold the Washington Football Team's Tight End in check. Logan Thomas went for four receptions, 37 yards and a touchdown. Higbee is not touchdown dependent and you can expect to see him on the field for most of the Rams snaps.

There you have it my 2020 NFL DFS Week 2 DraftKings picks. I hope you enjoyed the read, and I will see you next week. Until then enjoy your Football watching and have a beer on me.
