2021-22 Fantasy Basketball Week 20 Weekly Planner

by Bill Yin

Welcome to the 2021-22 Fantasy Basketball Week 20 Weekly Planner!

It’s been a long journey to the fantasy basketball regular-season finish line, but we’re finally here. Most leagues’ playoffs will begin in Week 21, but there is still time for some last-minute seedings to switch.

Luckily this year, there don’t seem to be many playoff-bound teams who will be resting players. The top of both conferences are close and teams will be looking to lock in a favorable seed, which is ultimately great news for fantasy managers.

For the last time this season, let’s dive into the 2021-22 Fantasy Basketball Week 20 Weekly Planner, where you’ll find options for streaming, pickups, and teams to target and avoid.

Pickup of the Week

Gabe Vincent, PG/SG, Miami Heat

Vincent has historically performed well whenever he got an opportunity. We aren’t quite sure how long Kyle Lowry will continue to be out due to personal reasons. However, Lowry’s been absent for decent stretches this season.

In a three-game stretch from 2/25 to 2/28, Vincent averaged 16 points, two rebounds, three assists, and a steal on low turnovers and good efficiency.

Buyer beware: the Heat will only play two games during Week 21, which is the first week of playoffs for most fantasy leagues.

Team to Target

Los Angeles Clippers

The Clippers will have four games in Week 20. They will face the Warriors (1st in defensive rating), Wizards (21st), Hawks (25th), and the Pistons (26th) on Sunday with a back-to-back on Monday of Week 21. It should be an easy schedule barring a matchup with the Dubs on Monday, and the depth of Ty Lue’s rotations is what gives this team deadly streaming potential.

It’s no secret that the Clippers are hoarding wings, and there are plenty of options to choose from in the wake of Paul George, Kawhi Leonard, and Norman Powell’s absence. Guys like Marcus Morris Sr. (61% rostered on Yahoo!), Terance Mann (58%), Luke Kennard (26%), Nic Batum (15%), Isaiah Hartenstein (13%), and Amir Coffey (7%) can all be used this week with considerable upside.

Team to Avoid

Oklahoma City Thunder

I’m not going to verify this, but I’m pretty sure the Thunder are my most-recommended team to avoid this season. Most of that is due to them being bad. Yet it’s also hard to trust some of their players for consistent production outside of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, rookie revelation Josh Giddey, and Luguentz Dort.

They only play three games in Week 20 and will face off against the Bucks (13th in team defense), the Timberwolves (16th), and the Grizzlies (8th).
