2021-22 NFL DFS Week 17 FanDuel Picks

on

Welcome back readers to my 2021-22 NFL DFS Week 17 FanDuel Picks. Happy New Year!

It is championship week for a lot of you out there so good luck and I hope you guys bring home your championships. But for us DFS players it is championship week every week and we have the chance of winning back. Usually, Week 17 is where we’re looking for players that might not normally get the opportunity to play due to Coaches wanting to save their big stars. But not in 2021  as there is an 18 week season.

The big names are still in play because teams still have something to play for. Some teams are still trying to get into the playoffs and others just want a better seeding. We are going to have players like Austin Ekeler, Jonathan Taylor, and Patrick Mahomes to choose from.

But stay close to your alerts as Covid and late-season injuries are rearing their ugly heads and knocking out players that have had great fantasy impact. So make sure you’re able to make those pivots before it’s too late.

But it’s time for the main event. So let’s get started with setting our lineups and having a great Week 17.

Tom Brady, QB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, ($8,300)

I bet you were wondering when I was going to get around to the GOAT  so here I am. Tom terrific has been anything but terrific in his last two games posting only one passing touchdown combined in both games. He’s about to have his get-right game against the New York Jets. I love picking on the Jets’ defense whenever I can and when they’re going up against arguably the best quarterback to ever play the game then you have to pay up for him. Brady is going to throw multiple touchdowns in this game to show that the reigning MVP still has it.

FanDuel outlook:

Brady is projected for over 21 points by Fantasy Six Pack. He is $500 cheaper than Josh Allen And $200 cheaper than Patrick Mahomes both of which are also in a great matchup as well. Brady has the potential of being a QB1 this week against the Jets something he has failed to do in the last two matchups. Add Brady to your lineups and get some easy points

Other QBs I like: Jalen Hurts ($7,900), Joe Burrow ($7,700), Matthew Stafford ($7,600)

David Montgomery, RB, Chicago Bears,($7,200)

Montgomery is going to run all over the Giants‘ defense. Matt Nagy has that only got one thing right this season and that is giving the ball to Montgomery whenever he has a chance. Montgomery is showing that he was not a fluke last season and that he is the real deal. He is obviously the best player on this team and they are going to need him to win this game. Montgomery is going to have a positive game script and he will have a lot of touches.

FanDuel outlook:

Montgomery is projected for over 16 points by Fantasy Six Pack. He is $200 cheaper than Damien Harris who I also like this week. With 21 rushing attempts and nine targets, Montgomery has proven to be the catalyst for this offense. Nagy looks like he wants to make the change a quarterback to Andy Dalton and when that happens expect a lot more touches for Montgomery.

Other RBs I like: Joe Mixon ($8,500), Damien Harris ($7,400), Ronald Jones ($7,000),

AJ Brown, WR, Tennessee Titans, ($7,500)

Brown is coming off a game where he almost single-handedly beat the 49ers. Brown had 11 catches for 145 yards and a touchdown. Julio Jones‘s career it’s all but done so be sure that Brown will see a lot of targets in this game. He is never fully healthy but he will be ready to go in Week 17. The Miami Dolphins defense is going to have their hands full with this human taint as it will be no stopping him once he gets going.

FanDuel outlook:

Brown is projected for over 15 points by Fantasy Six Pack. He is $700 less than Tyreek Hill who I also like this week so you should be able to use that extra money to fill out The rest of your lineup. Ryan Tannehill has a lot of trust in AJ Brown and he will throw it to him even if he’s doubled covered. Brown will win the 50-50 balls pulling them down in the end zone. So put Brown in your lineups and you will not be sorry.

Other WRs I like: Stefon Diggs ($8,000), CeeDee Lamb ($7,200), Brandon Aiyuk ($5,900)

Rob Gronkowski, TE, Tampa Bay Buccaneers ($6,700)

That’s right readers I am stacking Rob Gronkowski with Tom Brady in a lot of my lineups. Gronkowski has had a tough few weeks but he has been going up against very formidable defenses. This week he will not have that problem as the New York Jets are on the menu. The Jets’ defense has been bad against basically every position this season and tight end is no exception. With Chris Godwin out and Mike Evans, a little banged-up look for Gronkowski to see the bulk of targets come his way.

FanDuel outlook:

Gronkowski is projected for over 12 points by Fantasy Six Pack. Getting a tight end of Gronkowski‘s caliber for under $7000 is a steal. He is my go-to player when I need a cheap elite player. Gronk has a nose for the end zone and I expect him to get there this week against the Jets, so fire him up and watch the points roll in

Other TEs I like: Travis Kelce ($8,200), George Kittle ($7,200), Dawson Knox ($6,200)
