2021 Fantasy Football Week 12 Injury Impact

Welcome everyone to the 2021 Fantasy Football Week 12 Injury Impact article. In this article, I will be going over the most impactful injuries that occurred in Week 12. This week was not kind to us, so buckle in for a doozy.

But first, we need to mention the injury news we got during the week. A.J. Brown was put on the injured reserve list, which wasn't a surprise to many (hopefully).

This makes the Tennessee Titans offense useless in Fantasy. I would suggest sitting Ryan Tannehill and company until Julio Jones comes back, or A.J. Brown.

In other news, Alvin Kamara is still out and Mark Ingram is also dealing with injuries. Along with the Titans, do not start any offensive player from the Saints.

Enough with the boring introduction, let's jump right into the 2021 Fantasy Football Week 12 Injury Impact article.

Dalvin Cook, RB, Minnesota Vikings - Dislocated Shoulder (Carted Off and Did Not Return)

Unfortunate news here for Fantasy players, Dalvin Cook was carted off with a dislocated shoulder. He will be getting an MRI Monday to see what kind of damage has been done. As of right now, I expect him to miss some time.

Before getting hurt, Cook touched the ball 16 times for 103 yards. If Alexander Mattison (7-21 1 TD) is on the waiver wire, pick him up immediately. If you already have him, you can safely start him with Dalvin Cook missing a few weeks (possibly).

Deebo Samuel, WR/RB, San Francisco 49ers - Groin (TBD)

Deebo Samuel (7 touches for 78 yards and two touchdowns) was having a terrific Fantasy day on Sunday before injuring his groin. The severity of this injury is unknown, but groin injuries can be tricky. It's possible he misses time, so monitor the news this week.

If Deebo does miss time, Brandon Aiyuk and George Kittle should be the main beneficiary.

Christian McCaffrey, RB, Carolina Panthers - Ankle (Did Not Return)

Another big-name star gets an injury. Christian McCaffrey (10-35) was spotted in a walking boot on the sidelines, which is not good news for the fantasy star. Expect him to miss some time, so make sure you have a backup plan.

Chuba Hubbard (2-6) should get most of the workload at RB moving forward. He is worth a pickup if someone dropped him and he is also worth starting.

Teddy Bridgewater, QB, Denver Broncos - Lower Leg Injury (Returned)

Teddy left the game with a leg injury but returned in the second half. Bridgewater went 11/18 for 129 yards and one touchdown. I don't expect him to miss any time.

If he does, Drew Lock (4/7 26 yards and one interception) would be the QB. Do not pick him up.

Randall Cobb, WR, Green Bay Packers - Groin (Did Not Return)

Randall Cobb (4-95 1 TD) played very well tonight before injuring his groin. Unfortunately, he did not return to the game. Injuries to the groin can be very tricky, so it's possible he misses time.

Good thing the Packers have a bye week coming up so he can get healthy.

Dan Arnold, TE, Jacksonville Jaguars - Knee (Did Not Return)

Dan Arnold left the game with a knee injury and did not return. He only ended up with one catch for nine yards. It's possible he misses time, so monitor this news if you were starting him.

Do not pick up anyone that replaces him on this team.

Ezekiel Elliott, RB, Dallas Cowboys - Knee

Ezekiel Elliott is clearly not 100%, as his workload is being limited. Since the bye week (5 games), there has been only one game where Zeke has gotten 20 or more touches. Before bye week (6 games), he touched the ball 20+ times in four of seven games.

He should still play and have a role, but don't be expecting the usual workload from Zeke. Tony Pollard now becomes a solid flex option.

That should do it for the 2021 Fantasy Football Week 12 Injury Impact article.
