2021 Fantasy Football Week 13 Injury Impact

Welcome to the 2021 Fantasy Football Week 13 Injury Impact article. In this article, I will be going over the most impactful injuries that have gone down in Week 13.

Before I get into the injuries, I would like to go over a few fantasy-relevant players that couldn’t suit up this week.

Alvin Kamara, once again, was ruled out this week. Jalen Hurts wasn’t able to suit up, and Gardner Minshew looked fantastic for them on Sunday. Will Jalen Hurts lose his job now?

Melvin Gordon wasn’t able to suit up as well, which opened up the door for Javonte Williams. Now with that over, let’s jump into what went down this week.

To put it lightly, we did not have a good week this week. In fact, it was a brutal one. I will get into all in the article. Welcome to the 2021 Fantasy Football Week 13 Injury Impact article.

Logan Thomas, TE, Washington Football Team – Torn ACL/MCL

Logan Thomas (3-48-1) has been ruled out for the season with a torn ACL and MCL. Another tough hit for fantasy managers who thought they would be getting a solid TE for the playoffs.

John Bates was his replacement and he caught three balls for 42 yards. Do not pick him up.

Kenyan Drake, RB, Las Vegas Raiders – Broken Ankle

Kenyan Drake (2 touches for 8 yards) has been ruled out for the season with a broken ankle. This is brutal news for the Las Vegas Raiders and we hope for a speedy recovery for Kenyan Drake.

As for fantasy, this opens up a huge door for Josh Jacobs. He rushed the ball 13 times for 52 yards and one touchdown. The big news though is the targets Jacobs received.

Josh Jacobs caught all nine of his targets for 38 yards. Yes! I said it. Nine targets. Fire up Josh Jacobs with all the confidence in the world moving forward.

What’s With The Ankle Injuries

Adam Thielen, WR, Minnesota Vikings – High Ankle Sprain (TBD, but expect missed time)

This one hurts fantasy managers. Adam Thielen was ruled out of the game with a high-ankle sprain. He was only able to catch one ball for zero yards. The Vikings play Thursday, so expect Thielen to miss that game. It’s very possible he misses a couple of games, so plan accordingly.

Justin Jefferson (11-182-1) will do his thing and K.J. Osborn (4-47-1) is worth a shot on your team for a few weeks. Tyler C0nklin also becomes a high-end streamer with Thielen out. Conklin caught seven balls for 56 yards.

Corey Davis, WR, New York Jets – Ankle (TBD)

Corey Davis was ruled out of Sunday’s game with an ankle injury. The severity of the injury is unknown, but you should monitor this in the coming weeks. He was only able to catch two of his three targets for 15 yards.

If he misses time, Elijah Moore (6-77-1 TD) and Jamison Crowder (4-62) will get most of the targets.

Miles Sanders, RB, Philadelphia Eagles – Ankle (TBD)

As of right now, the severity of Miles Sanders‘ (24-120, 3/3 22 yards) injury is unknown. It did knock him out of the game, so it is something you have to monitor. In his absence, Kenneth Gainwell rushed the ball 12 times for 54 yards and one touchdown. He also caught all five of his targets for 33 yards.

If Sanders were to miss time, please pick up Kenneth Gainwell. With the bye week coming up for the Eagles, I believe Sanders will be back for their next game.

Elijah Mitchell, RB, San Francisco 49ers – Head

Elijah Mitchell injured his head but still played the whole game. He went 22-66 and one touchdown. He also caught all three of his targets for 18 yards. I don’t expect him to miss any time, so fire him up with confidence.

Ronald Jones, RB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Illness

Ronald Jones ended up leaving the game with an illness. He did not return. He was only able to carry the ball once for two yards. This is a pretty insignificant injury, so don’t be worrying.

That should do it for the 2021 Fantasy Football Week 13 Injury Impact article. I hope you enjoyed the read, and I’ll be back next week.
