Welcome everyone to the 2021 Fantasy Football Week 14 Injury Impact article. In this article, I will be going over the most impactful injuries that went down in Week 14.
First off, I have to say touche to the Fantasy Football gods. They saved their dirtiest deeds for the first week of the Fantasy Playoffs for some leagues / penultimate week for most.
Some huge names went down this week, which I will be going over everything below. Let's hope we get some good news later in the week.
From @GMFB: #Ravens QB Lamar Jackson will have tests on his sprained ankle today, while #Bills QB Josh Allen is believed to have a mild case of turf toe, but he vowed postgame it was no “big deal.” pic.twitter.com/X1w6aQYilW

Starstudded Injury Scares
Lamar Jackson, QB, Baltimore Ravens - Sprained Ankle

This could have a huge impact on the Playoffs for a lot of Fantasy players (in real life as well). As of right now, Lamar Jackson came down with just a sprained ankle.
The severity of the sprained ankle won't be known until a later time, so keep your eyes peeled on the news.
I expect him to miss at least a week. If that's the case, Tyler Huntley (27/38 for 270 yards and one touchdown) will be the QB for the Ravens.
You may be impressed by his numbers, but I still wouldn't be trusting him in a fantasy playoff matchup. Leave him on the waiver wire.
Terry McLaurin, WR, Washington Football Team- Concussion
Terry McLaurin's concussion didn't look good in real-time and I'm hoping that he is okay. I do expect him to miss at least a week though, so hopefully, you have some backup options on the bench.
There is nobody from the receiving core that should be picked up unless you are in deep leagues. You can take a shot on Cam Sims.
Austin Ekeler, RB, Los Angeles Chargers - Ankle

Wow! At first glance, I thought we were losing Austin Ekeler for the year. But as it turns out, Austin Ekeler is expected to be available for their next game.
If you have Ekeler on your team, please monitor this throughout the week.
Before leaving, Ekeler touched the ball 14 times for 84 yards and one touchdown. If he does miss time, leave the other RBs on the waiver wire.
Joshua Kelly (10-33) and Justin Jackson (9-35) won't get enough touches to trust in the playoffs.
Other Injuries To Note
#Broncos RB Melvin Gordon suffered a sprained thumb in Sunday’s game, source said, but it doesn’t figure to limit his playing time going forward. Gordon returned to the game yesterday and ran for 111 yards.

Kareem Hunt, RB, Cleveland Browns - Ankle
Kareem Hunt went down with an ankle injury and did not return. It's possible he misses time, so be on the lookout for that. Before getting hurt, Hunt touched the ball four times for 18 yards.
If he does miss time, expect to see a lot of Nick Chubb (17-59) and a healthy dose of D'Ernest Johnson (4-22). I would suggest picking him up this week.
Emmanuel Sanders, WR, Buffalo Bills - Knee
Emmanuel Sanders injured his knee and did not return to the game. I hope everyone gave up on starting him because he has been brutal.
Today was no different, before getting hurt, Sanders caught one ball for 25 yards. We don't know the severity of the injury, so monitor this.
If he does miss time, Gabriel Davis (5-43-1) should get more playing time.
Taylor Heinicke, QB, Washington Football Team - Knee

This was a rough game for Taylor Heinicke, as the Cowboys were all over him. Heinicke was sacked four times, fumbled, and threw an interception.
He went 11/25 for 122 yards with one touchdown and one interception.
He ended up leaving early with a knee injury and did not return. The severity of the injury is TBD, so monitor this moving forward. Please leave Kyle Allen on the bench if Heinicke is a no-go.
That should do it for the 2021 Fantasy Football Week 14 Injury Impact article. I hope you enjoyed the read, and I'll be back next week.
