2021 Fantasy Football Week 13 Rankings

Welcome everyone to the 2021 Fantasy Football Week 15 Injury Impact article. In this article, I will be going over the most impactful injuries that went down this week.

Before I get into that, I would like to mention that this has been one of the most interesting weeks of football. We have players not playing because of injury, or they have found themselves on the virus list. Either way, it's been a hectic week.

I mean, did anyone think they would be starting Tyler Huntley in a fantasy playoff game? Well, here we are. It turned out well too, which is the crazy part. What a wild game fantasy football is.

As for the injuries, I will be going over them below. Buckle in, let's get this show on the road. This is the 2021 Fantasy Football Week 15 Injury Impact article.

*Reminder*

I will be updating this if any injuries happen on Monday or Tuesday.

Trouble In Tompa Bay?

Mike Evans, WR - Hamstring (Did Not Return)

Mike Evans (1-14) left the game with a hamstring injury. He did not return and this is news we don't want to hear. With the playoffs happening right now for fantasy, Mike Evans' status for next week is up for grabs.

Please monitor this situation, because this is bad news for fantasy managers. Hamstring injuries are not something to play with as you will see below with Julio Jones.

Chris Godwin, WR - Sprained MCL (1-2 Weeks)

Even more heartbreaking news for fantasy managers is the injury to Chris Godwin. He took a brutal hit to the knees and did not return. Before getting hurt, Godwin caught six balls for 49 yards. They have diagnosed him with a sprained MCL and could be out for a few weeks.

This is the more likely news, so please have a backup plan in place.

With these two out, look for Rob Gronkowski (11 targets) to get the most work with everyone out.

Leonard Fournette, RB - Hamstring (Did Not Return)

Leonard Fournette (16 touches for 67 yards) injured his hamstring and did not return. Again, hamstrings are not something to play with.

Please monitor his situation moving forward. If he misses time, Ronald Jones should get most of the carries. Since Fournette went out, Rojo ran the ball eight times for 63 yards. He should be picked up.

Gone For The Year

Sterling Shepard, WR, New York Giants - Torn Achilles (Out For Season)

Sterling Shepard started the year on fire, but injuries have derailed his season. Now, he tears his Achilles. He will be out for the foreseeable future, which means Kenny Golladay (3-53), Evan Engram (4-33), and Saquon Barkley (4-24) will be getting the most work.

Be on the lookout for the status of Kadarrius Toney. If he is healthy, you should be playing him.

Concussion's Are Making Their Mark

Teddy Bridgewater, QB, Denver Broncos - (Did Not Return)

Teddy Bridgewater took a brutal hit and had to be stretchered off. He was later diagnosed with a concussion and I believe he will be missing time for sure. If it wasn't such a brutal hit, I would say he could be coming back in a week. That is not the case though.

Since I expect him to miss a few weeks, Drew Lock is now the starter. I would suggest not picking him up either. He did throw a touchdown though, so that is a positive. This isn't great news for the pass catchers of the Broncos, but the running backs should thrive.

Pat Freiermuth, TE, Pittsburgh Steelers - (Did Not Return)

Pat Freiermuth left the game with a concussion and did not return. He was only able to catch four balls for 37 yards. He should be good to go for their next game, but make sure you monitor this situation.

If he does miss time, Zach Gentry took over the starting duties. I would suggest that you do not pick him up.

Other Injuries

Julio Jones, WR, Tennessee Titans - Hamstring (Did Not Return)

Julio Jones, once again, has hurt his hamstring. This may be the end of Julio Jones being dominant for a whole year again. His hamstring is busted, so it's best to look for other players for your roster in the playoffs.

It's possible he doesn't see the field again for the regular season. If he does miss the rest of the year, Nick Westbrook (4-32) should be the main beneficiary. That is until A.J. Brown comes back.

Rondale Moore, WR, Arizona Cardinals - Ankle (Did Not Return)

Rondale Moore left the game with an ankle injury and did not return. He was only able to catch three balls for nine yards. The severity of the injury is unknown, so just monitor this moving forward.

Christian Kirk (9-94-1), Zach Ertz (6-74), and A.J. Green (4-64) should get most of the receiving work. They should be started in all formats moving forward.

That should do it for the 2021 Fantasy Football Week 15 Injury Impact article. See you all next week.
