2021 Fantasy Football Week 7 Quarterback Streamers

on

Welcome to 2021 Fantasy Football Week 7 Quarterback Streamers!

Starting with our weekly recap, I’m very happy with how things turned out last week. Tua and Teddy B were both QB1’s in standard scoring, Wentz was a high-end QB 2 with his usual solid floor. Mac Jones didn’t get up that high, scoring only 14.76 fantasy points, but ended up as the QB 17 on the week vs his ECR of QB 25.

If you started Jones over Lamar Jackson and Justin Herbert, (as you should have *sarcasm voice*) you were happy though. Crazy things happen in football.

Quarterback streamers are a little thin this week, but I’ve found some guys who should produce.

Our guys are all ranked 16th and below in FantasyPros QB ECR (expert consensus ranking). Most of these quarterbacks will be widely available.

We’ll find our streamers using a few different tools, such as how many fantasy points per game (FFPG) defenses are allowing opposing to QBs (stats provided by Fantasy Data). We’ll also look at factors other than defenses, such as game script, players returning from injury, and passing metrics to find our guys.

Carson Wentz at San Francisco

Featured in this space last week, Wentz is here again and gets a good matchup against the 49ers. San Francisco is allowing the 9th most FPPG to QBs this season, and their defense as a whole has been middle-of-the-road.

Though Paris Campbell is out, and possibly T.Y. Hilton, he still has Michael Pittman and Mo Alie-Cox to throw to (not to mention Zach Pascal). It’s basically the same group he’s thrown to the first few weeks. So, Wentz should be able to continue his solid play.

Jimmy Garoppolo vs Indianapolis

On the other side of the field, Jimmy G is another player I expect to have a good day. While San Francisco gives the 9th most FPPG to QBs, Indianapolis gives up the 8th most.

Garoppolo has a lower floor than Wentz, but if the game ends up beating its projected point total (as of now the O/U is 44 points per DraftKings Sportsbook), he could have a nice game.

Taylor Heinicke at Green Bay

Heinicke has faltered recently after producing in his first 3 starts. However, options are thin this week, and hopefully, Heinicke can turn things around. The Packers are missing Jaire Alexander, opening things up in the passing game.

Green Bay is another middle-of-the-road defense, ranking 18th in FPPG to QBs. Not a matchup to target, but not one to avoid either. With 6 teams on bye, you take what you can get.

That’s going to do it for this week’s streamers article. The bye weeks have arrived, so finding a replacement QB is more important than ever. Make sure to check back next week for more!

About Garrett Ball

Love me some fantasy football! After having played fantasy football for a few years, I decided to write about my hobby to help others in the fantasy community! The only things I love more than winning fantasy championships are God and my wife and two daughters. But fishing comes close too.
