2021 MLB World Series Prediction

As Spring Training throws its first pitch this weekend, let’s take a look at MLB futures. Below I will share my 2021 MLB World Series Prediction!

It seems like every month a new state legalizes sports betting. It has become so popular that leagues now have official partnerships with DraftKings and other top online sportsbooks in NJ and other states.

The Los Angeles Dodgers will look to defend their World Series title. However, they will have to reclaim the National League West while holding off a very talented San Diego Padres team. These two teams are the favorites to win the National League pennant.

The Dodgers added Trevor Bauer, the reigning NL Cy Young Award winner, to their rotation this offseason. David Price returns to the mound this year, after opting out last season.

San Diego boosted their pitching staff as well, trading for Yu Darvish, Blake Snell and Joe Musgrove!

The American League is wide open. We should see rivals battling until the final days of the regular season to win their division.

As stated above, the Dodgers (+200) and Padres (+400) are the favorites to win the National League.

Los Angeles is returning just about their entire World Series roster and added Bauer.

San Diego has the new face of the MLB on their roster in Fernando Tatis Jr. With the additions to the rotation, they now feature a playoff-ready pitching staff.

If the National League is won by some other team, it will most likely be a team in the National League East.

The Atlanta Braves (+125) are the favorite to win the division and at +500 have the third-best odds to represent the NL in the World Series. Marcell Ozuna coming back is really a difference-maker in that lineup to go along with Ronald Acuna Jr., Freddie Freeman and Ozzie Albies. They will rely on their bats to carry them this season.

Do not count out the New York Mets who thanks to new ownership added Francisco Lindor via trade to one of the better offenses in the National League. They are +1500 to make it to the World Series.

The National League Central just does not feature the pitching staffs to seriously compete for a World Series title in my opinion. However, if I am placing a bet on who will win the division, give me the St. Louis Cardinals (+210) who added new life to their offense by trading for Nolan Arenado this offseason.

American League

The Tampa Bay Rays shocked the world last year, winning the American League pennant. They do things very differently, but it is hard to see them repeating this season, despite having the third-best odds at +700.

I would put my money on the Minnesota Twins, who are also +700, before the Rays.

The AL East tends to always lean heavily on the New York Yankees (-175 division) but do not sleep on the Toronto Blue Jays who are +350 to win the division (+900 AL Pennant/+2500 World Series).

The Blue Jays offense is one of the best in all of baseball, adding George Springer and Marcus Semien to Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Bo Bichette and the rest. They added a bunch of arms to give them options in the rotation and signed Kirby Yates to be their closer. Yates is coming off elbow surgery but saved 41 games for the Padres in 2019.

In the American League Central, all eyes are on the Chicago White Sox. Chicago (-110) is the favorite to win the division and only the Yankees (+250) have better odds at winning the American League.

Out West, the division no longer belongs to the Houston Astros (+150). The Oakland Athletics (+120) are the favorites to win the American League West. However, if I was putting money on the division title, I would still roll with Houston.

Oakland has the better pitching staff but even without Springer, Houston’s offense, on paper, is better than Oakland’s. The A’s lost Semien in free agency and traded Khris Davis for Elvis Andrus.

I am all for a Los Angles Dodgers vs San Diego Padres seven-game series in the MLB Playoffs for the National League pennant.

If I were to place a bet today, I would take the Padres +400 to represent the NL in the World Series.

The American League is a bit tougher to predict but I like the Chicago White Sox at +400.

I like the Padres at +900 to win the World Series!
