2021 NFL DFS Week 1 FanDuel Picks

2021-22 NFL DFS Conference Championship Weekend FanDuel Picks

Welcome readers!  I hope you enjoy my 2021 NFL DFS FanDuel Week 1 Picks. Stay with me this season and we will make some money together!

Football is back and I'm excited. It has been a crazy offseason, to say the least. We had a "will they" "won't they" situation happening in Green Bay with Aaron Rodgers threatening to retire if he wasn't treated with some respect. In the end, the two parties came together and worked things out.

A potential power in the AFC has seen their running backs drop like flies. J.K. Dobbins, Justice Hill and now Gus Edwards all went down with season-ending injuries. Next man up - Ty'Son Williams! Thankfully, the Week 1 main slate does not feature chalk Williams as the Baltimore Ravens play the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday Night Football.

The Los Angeles Rams and Chicago Bears are also not on the main slate as they play on Sunday Night.

Jalen Hurts, QB, Philadelphia Eagles - $7,600

This is a good matchup for Hurts. The Falcons had a Very bad Defense last season, and they did not do enough this offseason to improve it. Hurts can get it done with both his legs and his arm, which is a good formula for DFS success. With the Falcon's offense projected to be explosive, the Eagles could rely on their young Quarterback to keep them in the game.

FanDuel outlook:

Hurts is projected for over 20 points by Fantasy Six Pack. In 2020, Hurts had 354 yards and three touchdowns on the ground in just four starts. Hurts' upside is worth his price tag.

Other QBs I like: Matt Ryan ($7,300), Kirk Cousins ($7,200), Trevor Lawrence ($6,800)

Raheem Mostert, RB, San Francisco 49ers - $6,1000

This game could get out of hand quickly. Mostert is the lead back in one of the best running attacks in the NFL. Mostert did not get on the field as much as he would have liked in 2020, but when he did he averaged five yards per carry. When you add Mostert explosiveness and the Lions bad defense, you have my favorite play in DFS.

FanDuel outlook:

Mostert is projected for over 11 points by Fantasy Six Pack. The 49ers could go up big early in this matchup against the Lions. We could see a heavy dose of the running game. With Trey Sermon being a rookie, I don't see him take away touches from Mostert.

Other RBs I like: Nick Chubb ($7,700), Antonio Gibson ($7,000), James Robinson (5,900)

Calvin Ridley, WR, Atlanta Falcons - $8,100

We are going to spend up at wide receiver, and go with Ridley. With Julio Jones now in Tennessee, Ridley is the new number one for Matt Ryan. Unlike Jones, Ridley has shown that he has a nose for the endzone nabbing nine touchdowns in 2020. The Eagles do not have the personnel to stop Ridley, so he should be a good play this Sunday.

FanDuel outlook:

Calvin Ridley is projected for over 16 points by Fantasy Six Pack. Ridley had a breakout year with 90 receptions over 1300 yards and 9 touchdowns. With both teams having bad defenses points could come in bunches.

Other WRs I like: Justin Jefferson ($8,000), D.J. Moore ($6,700), Tee Higgins ($6,000)

George Kittle, TE, San Francisco - $7,000

I'm stacking Kittle with Mostert in most of my lineups. When you have a great player in a great matchup you must exploit it. Like Mostert, Kittle did not stay on the field in 2020. But he is coming into this season healthy and with something to prove.  The 49ers are going to want to get Kittle going early in this game, cause when he is involved the offense is much better.

FanDuel outlook:

Kittle is projected for over 12 points by Fantasy Six Pack. The tight end landscape hasn't been good for a while. Kittle is elite at the position and is not a touchdown-dependent play, He will rack up points with catches and yardage.

Other TEs I like: Dallas Goedert ($5,900), Logan Thomas ($5,600), Robert Tonyan ($5,400)
