2021 NFL DFS Week 16 FanDuel Picks

on

Welcome back readers to my 2021 NFL DFS Week 16 FanDuel Picks.

Week 15 was a disaster, if you got to the first round of your playoffs and you had a pretty good lineup, there’s a good chance you’re not making the second round. Unfortunately, that was the case for a lot of us. There was a good chance you didn’t have Tyler Huntley who was a QB1 or Duke Johnson who was an RB1 in your lineups.

You might have had Kyler Murray, Alvin Kamara, or Najee Harris, all top-five at their positions, and all had their worst games of the season.  But if you had Travis Kelce or Mark Andrews in your lineup that’s all you needed to get to the second round of your playoffs.

Well, there’s no need to dwell on last week let’s put Week 15 in the past. It’s time to look towards the future and all the promises that Week 16 will give us.

Let’s move on and get started building those lineups.

Matthew Stafford, QB, Los Angeles Rams, ($7,900)

Stafford has had his ups and downs this season but overall he’s a top-five quarterback. He’s going up against the Minnesota Vikings who have been kind to the quarterback position. Stafford has thrown two or more touchdowns in each of his last four games, and I see that streak continuing. The Vikings are going to be playing to win as they’re looking to get in the Wild Card spot. This game could become a shoot-out, and that is where Stafford shines.

Fanduel outlook:

Stafford is projected for over 20 points by Fantasy Six Pack. I am pairing Matthew Stafford with Cooper Kupp in several of my lineups to maximize my points’ potential. Stafford is $500 cheaper than Justin Herbert who I also like this week but adding Stafford will give you more flexibility throughout your lineup.

Other QBs I like: Justin Herbert ($8,400), Jalen Hurts ($7,700), Joe Burrow ($7,100)

James Robinson, RB, Jacksonville Jaguars, ($8,200)

This is going to be the first time this season I have selected a member of the Jacksonville Jaguars as my headliner but when you have a good player going against a horrible defense you just can’t help but put them into your lineup. The New York Jets just gave up 107 yards and two touchdowns to Duke Johnson and another 50 yards to Myles Gaskin, so it’s safe to say that this is a great matchup for Robinson.

FanDuel outlook:

Robinson is projected for over 15 points by Fantasy Six Pack. Robinson is the second most expensive running back that is likely to play. And he’s $200 cheaper than Najee Harris who is going to be against the Kansas City defense, and they have been playing a lot better as of late. I’m looking for James Robinson to have his best game of the season now that “Coach” Urban Meyer is no longer calling the shots. In the same game for a cheap play, I am also playing Michael Carter for $5,800. The Jags defense is also a dumpster fire you are going to want to attack.

Other RBs I like: Najee Harris ($8,400), Josh Jacobs ($6,800), Clyde Edwards-Helaire ($6,500)

Keenan Allen, WR. Los Angeles Chargers, ($7,700)

The last few weeks we’ve been playing wide receivers with high floors so let’s keep that going this week. Allen fits the mold of the receiver we want. He is going to see a lot of action and he has the potential to make big plays. In the last two games, Allen was able to nab three touchdowns. With 18 targets in the last two weeks, Allen is the hands-down number one receiver for Justin Herbert and he will be important in this game.

FanDuel outlook:

Allen is projected for over 14 points by Fantasy Six Pack. Allen has the second-best matchup of the top five most expensive wide receivers on FanDuel. Cooper Kupp is probably the best matchup but he is $2,100 more expensive. It is still not a giving that the Chargers will make the playoffs so every game counts. They are going to put up points on the Houston Texans, and they are not going to be able to stop them.

Other WRs I like: Cooper Kupp ($9,800), Ja’Marr Chase ($7,100), Amon-St. Brown ($6,500)

Dallas Goedert, TE, Philadelphia Eagles, ($5,900)

Goedert has been the most consistent pass catcher for the Philadelphia Eagles over the past two weeks. This is his second matchup against the New York Giants, the first of which did not go well. But now it looks like he is more of a focal point in the offense receiving 15 targets in his last two games. The Eagles are in a wild card race and they’re going to need Dallas Goedert to play up to his potential.

FanDuel outlook:

Goedert is projected for almost 10 points by Fantasy Six Pack. Goedert is not a touchdown-dependent tight end scoring 17 points last week without a touchdown. For A tight end with a high ceiling grabbing him under $6000 is a steal. Goedert doesn’t need a touchdown to be successful but if he does get into the end zone he will give you some big points.

Other TEs I like: Mark Andrews ($8,000), Travis Kelce ($7,800), Noah Fant ($5,600)
