2021 NFL DFS Week 6 FanDuel Picks

on

Welcome back, readers! to my 2021 NFL DFS Week 6 FanDuel Picks

We are coming off another strong week. The NFL had some nail bitters on Sunday, capped off by an amazing Monday night contest.

We have to talk about the Green Bay Packers vs the Cincinnati Bengals. This game had two good performances from the starting quarterbacks, but the rookie wide receiver stole the show. Ja’Marr Chase had another big game with six receptions 159 yards and a touchdown. He is my pick for early-season offensive rookie of the year. But this game came down to the kickers, and neither one of them wanted the game to end as they both missed six kicks between them.

But the injury bug once again reared its ugly head. The NFL lost two superstar players in Week 5. The Seattle Seahawks lost quarterback Russell Wilson. Without him, the Seahawks could not get past the Los Angeles Rams.

Also,  the Giants lost their superstar running back, Saquon Barkley. This was an odd one as his injury occurred during a stoppage of play, and he rolled his ankle on a Cowboys foot just walking around. In this game, the Giants also lost Kenny Golladay and Daniel Jones to injury. It does look like Jones could be back for this week, but Barkley and Golladay could miss multiple games.

But this is a DFS article and it’s a new week and it’s time to set our lineups.

So let’s get started. Here are my picks for FanDuel’s Week 6 main slate.

Taylor Heinicke, QB, Washington Football Team  – $7,300

Heinicke has been a welcome surprise for Washington. Now he gets to go up against the Chiefs defense. Kansas City has not been able to slow down any quarterback. In their last two games alone they gave up 702 yards and 5 touchdowns to Josh Allen, and Jalen Hurts. Heinicke has the chance to become the next QB to torch the KC. Heinicke could just go nuclear and have his best performance of the year.

FanDuel outlook:

Heinicke is projected for over 18 points by Fantasy Six Pack. He has gone over 20 points in three out of five games this season. There is no team worse than the Chiefs against the quarterback position. Washington is going to have to throw the ball to keep up, so this could be a high-scoring game. The Football Team is one of my two favorite stacks in Week 6. I’m stacking Heinicke with Antonio Gibson, and Terry McLaurin.

Other QBs I like: Matthew Stafford ($7,900), Sam Darnold ($7,500), Joe Burrow ($7,400)

Darrell Henderson, RB, Los Angeles Rams – $7,300

The Los Angeles Rams take on the New York Football Giants. With all of the injuries the Giants has sustained this could be a blood bath. Henderson is going to have some big plays both on the ground and through the air. The Rams lead running back has racked up three touchdowns in four games. Henderson leads the team with 12 red zone attempts – 10 rushing and two targets. I have Henderson in several of my lineups.

FanDuel outlook:

Henderson is projected for over 14 points by Fantasy Six Pack. When looking for a good DFS play, you are looking for a talented player, in a good matchup, with great upside. Henderson has all three. With all the injuries at the position and the first set of teams having a bye week, Henderson could finish in the top five. I’m stacking him with Matthew Stafford, and Tyler Higbee attacking that Giants defense.

Other RBs I like: Jonathan Taylor ($7,500), D’Andre Swift ($7,100), Antonio Gibson ($6,700)

Michael Pittman, WR, Indianapolis Colts – $5,800

Pittman is the best receiver on the team. He has been heavily targeted all season but has not been able to get into the end zone until this past Monday.  We are still waiting for Pittman’s blowup game, and I believe it is coming this Sunday. With the loss on Monday night, the Colts are now 1-4. They are going to look to make changes on the offense. Giving the ball to one of their best young talented players is how they are going to do it. I expect Pittman is going to have double-digit targets, and a couple of shots downfield.

FanDuel outlook:

Pittman is projected for over 11 points by Fantasy Six Pack. I could not believe my eyes when I saw the price for Pittman. Pittman has tremendous upside and is going to be a good play this week. With Pittman’s low price tag I am stacking him with Jonathan Taylor, and fill out my lineup with a couple of higher price talent in good matchups, like Terry McLaurin.

Other WRs I like: D.J. Moore ($7,600), Terry McLaurin ($7,400), Brandin Cooks ($6,500)

Hunter Henry, TE, New England Patriots – $5,600

You know my rule when selecting a tight end. If you can’t get Travis Kelce or Darren Waller, then grab one that might get a touchdown. For the last two games that has been Hunter Henry. He looks better in the passing game than Jonnu Smith. In the game last Sunday, Henry caught six of eight targets for 75 yards and a touchdown.

FanDuel outlook:

Henry is projected for almost eight points by Fantasy Six Pack. He has stepped up over the last two weeks nabbing two touchdowns. Henry is in another plus matchup against the Dallas Cowboys. Although the Cowboys defense has gotten better, they still give up Fantasy points to the tight end positions.

Other TEs I like: Mark Andrews ($6,300), Tyler Higbee ($5,500), Mo Alie-Cox ($5,000)
