2021 NFL Week 13 Thursday Night Football Prop Bets

Welcome to our 2021 NFL Week 13 Thursday Night Football Prop Bets!

Wow, what a week! We got a little bit of everything in regards to Thanksgiving football. A comeback win by the Bears over the Lions. The Raiders and the Cowboys had a back and forth game with the Raiders winning in overtime. Finally, Buffalo and New Orleans squared off and the Bills rolled past the Saints.

It didn’t stop there, we had other surprises on Sunday with the Broncos, Dolphins, and Washington all pulling off wins. The Bengals steamrolled the Steelers much to my delight. Unfortunately, the Browns couldn’t pull off a win against the Ravens, who gave them every chance to do so, so my week ended on a slightly sour note.

Since I briefly mentioned the Thanksgiving games above, I won’t go through all the props we had, but I will say we got 4 of 8. The Bills game is what killed me, Dawson Knox went just under his yardage prop and Cole Beasly was just over his yardage prop, so I missed those but that’s the way it goes.

Both teams who are facing off in this week’s Thursday Night Matchup are teams that played on Thanksgiving last Thursday.  The New Orleans Saints host the Dallas Cowboys this week, Dallas is favored by 4.5 points with an O/U at 47.5.

It sounds like the Saints are making a quarterback change with Taysom Hill taking reps with the 1’s. Sean Payton has implied that Hill starting will depend on his health, but it sounds like Hill is good to go. New Orleans has not won a game in any of Trevor Siemian‘s four starts, so it makes sense to try something different. In Hill’s four starts last year, the Saints won three times.

In addition, it sounds like the Saints will also be getting Mark Ingram back for this game, which is a big boost to their offense. We saw the offense New Orleans fielded on Thanksgiving, and it wasn’t pretty. Alvin Kamara is practicing this week but in a limited capacity. Hopefully, he’ll take the field as well.

On the other side of the ball, Dallas has some injury concerns of their own. Ezekiel Elliott‘s dealing with a knee issue, but it doesn’t sound like it will hinder his workload. CeeDee Lamb has dealt with a concussion but is now back in practice as a full participant. Dak can get it done without Lamb but I know he’d much rather have him back. So would we.

HC Mike McCarthy is out for this game as Dallas continues to get bit by the Covid bug. Add him to the extensive list of Dallas coaches and players on the Covid-19 reserve list. Reminds me a little of the Titans situation early last year. Either way, that throws a monkey wrench into the game too. Dan Quinn will take over as acting head coach in McCarthy’s stead. Now with all that, let’s dive into some props.

2021 NFL Week 13 Thursday Night Football Prop Bets

Dalton Schultz – 43.5 Receiving Yards – Over

Schultz just keeps getting it done. Dak really likes to target him, and he’s beaten this total in three of the last four weeks. That bad week came against Atlanta where he really wasn’t needed. Schultz has a steady stream of targets coming his way, and I like him to keep on chugging.

Tre’Quan Smith – 40.5 Reception Yards – Over

Smith has become, more or less, the Saint’s #1 wideout. Just like Schultz, Smith’s also gone over his yardage prop three out of the last four weeks. While we haven’t seen Taysom in action for an extended period this year, it would stand to reason that Tre’Quan would continue being the #1 target. New Orleans will need to throw to keep up with the Cowboys, and the Saints having more offensive threats returning could open things up for him.

Taysom Hill – Anytime Scorer

Hill scored 4 rushing touchdowns during his time as a starter last year. They liked using him in special packages around the goalline already, why not use his rushing ability when he’s out there full time? Taysom’s scored 3 rushing touchdowns already, and I like him to score another in his first start of the year.

That will do it for your 2021 Week 13 Thursday Night Football Prop Bets! It’s gonna be a fun one with Taysom starting and watching how Dallas adapts without their head coach. In the end, I believe the Cowboys pull this one off and improve their lead on the rest of the NFC East.
