The 2021 NFL Week 18 Sunday Night Football prop bets article will likely be the last article you read before the season ends.
I am so honored.
Mock enthusiasm aside, we have what is probably the best game of the weekend left for last. Yes, the Steelers/Ravens overtime slobber-knocker was fun. Although it put a little wrinkle in was the one game I was most forward to looking to this week.
There is a chance that both coaches go very conservative in this one. But I’m going to bet against that and I suspect this game should have a furious pace. We’ll know within the first ten minutes. So I would not bet the house much before the game starts. But there’s plenty of reason to assume a shoot-out between Justin Herbert and Derek Carr. In the last three weeks, the Raiders have run the 11th most plays and the Chargers have run the fifth most plays. Both the Chargers and Raiders are also in the top ten for TDs allowed this season. We should see plenty of touchdowns in this one.
So where are those TDs coming from? Well, don’t be surprised that the 2021 NFL Week 18 Sunday Night Football prop bets include one or two.

We start this week with DraftKings weekly special:
Derek Carr + Justin Herbert OVER 574.5 Combined Passing Yards +110
Again, I think this will depend on whether or not both coaches play it like they normally would. But I agree with this guy:
Everyone is saying kneeldowns for a 0-0 tie, but I say they agree to let the other team score on every play and set every passing, rushing, receiving, & scoring record that can never be broken. Carr & Herbert could both throw for a couple thousand yds in a single night!

Let’s assume this game plays out like we all hope it does, based upon what these two teams have done all year. Derek Carr is averaging 288 passing yards per game. Justin Herbert is averaging just under 290 passing yards per game. Add those two together, you get around 578 passing yards.
That’s a little close for my tastes. However, given that these two teams have allowed 51 passing TDs combined this year, I expect both quarterbacks to take to the air often. Throw in the extra ten points above even money and I’m willing to put a unit or two on this bet. And we can always throw a little insurance on this next bet.

Just in case Los Angeles and Las Vegas decide to engage in Roger Goodell’s nightmare and exchange three kneels and punt, we have this. We can bet the Raiders side too, but the Chargers have a higher payout. Maybe throw just tenth of a unit on this or something as insurance.
Austin Ekeler Anytime TD Scorer -190

I typically give you at least one conservative bet, so this is the choice for tonight. There is no need to make this complicated. Ekeler would be a good bet to score tonight period (assuming these two teams play it “normal”). He does have 18 TDs already on the year. And throw in the fact that he scored twice the last two times these teams met, I’d say he’s a good bet to do it again.
Here’s hoping we get the exciting game we were all hoping for and not the one I’m dreading. Either way, good luck with your Week 18 Sunday Night football prop bets and enjoy the game!
