2023-24 Fantasy Basketball Week Waiver Wire

Hello Fantasy Basketball Junkies! Welcome to the 2022-23 Fantasy Basketball Week 10 Waiver Wire.

If you want the best waiver wire options, you have arrived at the right place. We will give you a list of free-agent players you need during week 10.

The focus will be on players that are roughly less than 40% owned in Yahoo leagues, with some over 40% that you will need to check your league's availability.

I will keep each waiver wire column focused on new names, only touching on previous players if they are still widely available.

Take a moment to read Mike's Fantasy Basketball Weekly Planner too! He goes over the upcoming NBA schedule and highlights players and teams to target/avoid.

Quentin Grimes, SG/SF, New York Knicks (21% owned)

Quentin Grimes averaged 15.4 PPG, 3.2 3PG, 4.6 RPG, and 1.8 APG in his last five games. He also averaged 33.5 minutes per game while shooting an impressive 55.6% from the field and 84.6% from the free throw line.
During that time, he was the 44th-ranked player in nine-category leagues.

The New York Knicks will play four games next week. They also play back-to-back games against the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Quentin Grimes' shooting appears unsustainable, but I will add him in week 10. Continue to ride his hot hand, especially if you're in a deep league and you need points, threes, and rebounds.

Nickeil Alexander-Walker, SG, Utah Jazz (20% owned)

Nickeil Alexander-Walker is averaging 14.8 PPG, 2.8 3PG, 3.2 RPG, and 4.0 SPG in his last five games while playing 26.2 minutes per game. During that time, he was barely in the top 100 of nine-category leagues.

Nickeil Alexander-Walker made this list due to the Utah Jazz's favorable schedule at the start of Week 10. From Monday to Thursday, they'll play three games in four nights. They will play the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Detroit Pistons back-to-back on Monday and Tuesday before facing the Washington Wizards on Thursday.

If you need a boost in points and threes, stream Nickeil Alexander-Walker in week 10. I don't recommend him as a long-term hold this time, but you can take advantage of his favorable schedule in the coming week.

Tyus Jones, PG, Memphis Grizzlies (40% owned)

Tyus Jones averaged 11.3 PPG, 1.8 3PG, 2.7 RPG, 5.3 APG, and 1.0 SPG in 25.3 minutes per game over the last 16 games. In that span, where Desmond Bane was out, Tyus Jones flirted with Top 125 value in nine-category leagues.

Tyus Jones only needs to play in his mid-20s to make an impact. Even when he comes off the bench, he plays well. Furthermore, Tyus Jones' value skyrockets whenever Ja Morant is unavailable.

Although the Memphis Grizzlies do not have one of the best schedules in week 10, I will still add and hold Tyus Jones where he is available. He'll be a solid contributor in assists, 3-pointers, and steals until Desmond Bane returns.

Thomas Bryant, C, Los Angeles Lakers (21% owned)

Anthony Davis suffered a right foot injury in their most recent game against the Denver Nuggets. According to reports, he will be out for a month. In line with this, Thomas Bryant emerges as a must-add in standard leagues.

Thomas Bryant averaged a serviceable 12.5 PPG, 4.5 RPG, 1.5 APG, 1.0 SPG, and 2.5 BPG while shooting 67.5% from the field in two games this season, where he started for the resting Anthony Davis.

The Los Angeles Lakers also have one of the most favorable schedules in week 10 with four games. They will, however, be up against some formidable opponents. The Phoenix Suns, Sacramento Kings, and Dallas Mavericks are among the teams they will face in the coming week. Only the Charlotte Hornets appear to be their easiest matchup next week.

Get Thomas Bryant right now. He won't be able to match Anthony Davis' production, but you'll benefit from his FG%, points, and rebounds.
