2022-23 Fantasy Basketball Week 6 Waiver Wire

Hello Fantasy Basketball Junkies! Welcome to the 2022-23 Fantasy Basketball Week 6 Waiver Wire.

If you want the best waiver wire options, you have arrived at the right place. We will give you a list of free-agent players you need during week 6.

The focus will be on players that are roughly less than 40% owned in Yahoo leagues, with some over 40% that you will need to check your league's availability.

I will keep each waiver wire column focused on new names, only touching on previous players if they are still widely available.

Tyus Jones, PG, Memphis Grizzlies (40% owned)

After suffering an ankle injury in their game against the Oklahoma City Thunder, Ja Morant was helped into the locker room. He is now considered week-to-week, much to the chagrin of his fantasy managers.

Tyus Jones will have another opportunity to shine. He was outstanding in two games this season while filling in for the injured Ja Morant. Tyus Jones shot 52.8% from the field and averaged 20.0 points, 2.0 three-pointers, 7.5 assists, and 2.5 steals per game. Tyus Jones is a must-add in any fantasy league, even though the Memphis Grizzlies will only play three games in week 6.

Shake Milton, PG/SG, Philadelphia 76ers (26% owned)

Tyrese Maxey will be out for three to four weeks with a left foot injury. The Philadelphia 76ers, already without James Harden, need someone to step up.

Because De'Anthony Melton is most likely no longer available in your league, you must concentrate on the other Melton. No, not Melton, but Milton. Shake Milton dominated the Minnesota Timberwolves in his first game as a starter in place of the injured Tyrese Maxey. On 66.7% shooting, he finished with 27.0 points, 3.0 three-pointers, 6.0 rebounds, and 2.0 assists.

Shake Milton doesn't offer the same upside as De'Anthony Melton. However, consider the former if you need help in the points category. The Philadelphia 76ers will play four games in Week 6. They also have a favorable schedule, with three games scheduled from Tuesday to Friday. Feel free to add and stream Shake Milton over the next week and until Tyrese Maxey returns.

Jalen Williams, SG/SF, Oklahoma City Thunder (19% owned)

Jalen Williams averaged 13.3 PPG, 2.0 3PG, 5.3 RPG, 5.0 APG, 0.7 SPG, and 0.3 BPG in his last three games while shooting 50.0% from the field. The defensive numbers are a little thin. However, his statistics were good enough to place him 104th in nine-category leagues.

In Week 6, the Oklahoma City Thunder will have the best and easiest schedule. They will face the New York Knicks, the Denver Nuggets, the Chicago Bulls, and the Houston Rockets. Jalen Williams is a good stream in the coming week, with three games in four nights from Wednesday to Saturday. Let's see if Coach Mark Daigneault recognizes Jalen Williams' value and unleashes him in week 6. He's an excellent option for Fantasy Managers looking to increase their points and assists.

Torrey Craig, SF/PF, Phoenix Suns (16% owned)

Over the last three games, Torrey Craig has averaged 13.0 points, 2.3 three-pointers, 8.3 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.3 steals. These figures are good enough to place him in the top 50 of nine-category leagues.

The Phoenix Suns have only three games in week six, but they have one of the most favorable schedules. Next week, they will play the Los Angeles Lakers and the Detroit Pistons. Furthermore, with back-to-back games on Friday and Saturday, Torrey Craig will be an excellent stream option toward the end of the week. He is an ideal fit for teams in need of rebounding and steals. You are welcome to ride with Torrey Craig until Cameron Johnson returns.
