2022-23 Fantasy Hockey Week 10 Weekly Planner

Welcome back, friends! Let's not wait, and dive right into the 2022-23 Fantasy Hockey Week 10 Weekly Planner.

Week 9 left us with a lot to talk about, including the battle of point streaks between Mitch Marner and Jason Robertson. We saw Robertson's franchise-long point streak end at 18 games (21 goals and 13 assists) against the Leafs, while Marner extended the Leafs' franchise record to 21 games (10 goals and 18 assists).

Speaking of streaks, we also saw Bruce Cassidy's Golden Knights put an end to the Bruins' historic home-winning streak. The former bench boss of the B's returned to his former arena and ended the Bruins run, who started the season with 14 straight wins at home.

We can also confirm that Week 9 was dominated by Tage Thompson.

Week 10 is set to feature a rematch between the Bruins and Golden Knights, who competed in a highly entertaining game last week that ended in a shootout. We will also see another clash between the two Florida teams, with the Panthers visiting the Lightning who have looked like their old selves recently. The Rangers are also set to seek revenge against the rival Devils, who edged them out in the first meeting of the season.

Who should we watch? Let's find out. Time for the 2022-23 Fantasy Hockey Week 10 Weekly Planner!

December 10, 2022 - December 16, 2022

Top Targets

Sean Durzi, Defense, Los Angeles Kings (48% Rostered)

A pleasant surprise for the LA Kings this season has been the production from second-year defenseman Sean Durzi. Not only is Durzi helping out in the defensive zone with 46 blocked shots in his 26 games played, but he is also finding his way onto the score sheet. Over the last seven games, Durzi has put up one goal and eight points and has secured his spot amongst the team's top four defensemen. We expect Durzi to continue adding his offensive presence to the Kings who have the fourth-most goals in the league.

Matty Beniers, Center, Seattle Kraken (46% Rostered)

The Kraken may have found their first-ever 'face of the franchise' when it comes to former #2 overall draft pick Matty Beniers, who has lived up to the hype so far. The Calder Memorial Trophy favorite has been finding the point sheet often as of late, registering 12 points (five goals and seven assists) over his past eight games, and hasn't shown signs of slowing down. Look for Beniers to continue pushing to be the Kraken's leading scorer as they continue to exceed expectations.

Anthony Cirelli, Center/Left Wing, Tampa Bay Lightning (23% Rostered)

If you are seeing Anthony Cirelli available in your fantasy league, do yourself a favor and PICK HIM UP! The 25-year-old has missed most of the season after recovering from shoulder surgery and has returned to his normal spot on the first line with Brandon Hagel and Brayden Point. He has two points in his first two games of the season, but it may take him a few games before he is up to speed. Be patient and grab Cirelli for your team while you can, as he will start putting up points before you know it.

Jack Quinn, Left Wing/Right Wing, Buffalo Sabres (20% Rostered)

I feel like I have written about a Sabres player every week this year, but all this team does is score goals (#1 in Goals For heading into Week 10). An unsung hero for this team as of late is rookie Jack Quinn. The reigning AHL Rookie of the Year is slotted on the second line alongside JJ Peterka and Dylan Cozens and is carrying a five-game point streak (three goals and three assists) into the new week. Given the way that Buffalo scores goals, we really see Quinn being a sneaky valuable fantasy option.

Injury Alerts

Nathan MacKinnon, Center, Colorado Avalanche

The Stanley Cup Champions may not have been hit by a Stanley Cup hangover, but they are certainly suffering from the injury bug. Nathan MacKinnon is the latest victim of the injury bug, as the team has announced that they will be without their star center for about four weeks. MacKinnon left Monday's game with an upper-body injury, and the Avs will need to act quickly to fill the void of their leading scoring who will be out for some time.

Jack Eichel, Center, Vegas Golden Knights

After leaving the game last Saturday, Jack Eichel is considered day-to-day with a lower-body injury. Eichel has missed two games so far for the Knights, although he had been skating during practice throughout the week. We do not know when to expect Eichel back, but Vegas fans hope that this is sooner rather than later.

Torey Krug, Defense, St. Louis Blues

Speaking of day-to-day, Blues' defenseman Torey Krug is also expected to miss some games with an upper-body injury. A key piece of the team's powerplay unit has missed a couple of games so far this season with a similar injury, and he will now need further evaluation to determine a timetable for his return to the ice.

Team Worth Watching This Week

Minnesota Wild

Look for the Wild to get their season back on track with four winnable games during Week 10! There were a lot of high expectations for the Wild this season, and they have not really lived up to the hype just yet.

The team currently sits at 13-10-2, but Week 10 features a lot of winnable games for the team to get hot before the new year. The week will feature a road contest against the struggling Canucks, and then they will return home for three games against Edmonton, Detroit, and Chicago.
