Thanks for joining another week! We are back with the 2022-23 Fantasy Hockey Week 24 Weekly Planner.
We are getting closer to the finish line, and the race for the final playoff spots is heating up for both conferences. In the East, there are currently seven teams separated by nine points with plenty of games remaining for a potential shakeup. The Western Conference has three teams that will be fighting for the final Wild Card spot through the last 10+ games.
Given that two teams advance from each conference, expect it to be a fight to the finish!
It's a big week for the league, and I can't wait to break it down so let's do that hockey! Let's jump right into the 2022-23 Fantasy Hockey Week 24 Weekly Planner.
March 18, 2023 - March 24, 2023
Top Targets
Jonathan Quick, Goalie, Vegas Golden Knights (70% Rostered)

There is no stopping someone that is fueled by revenge, and Jonathan Quick is a perfect example of this.
Since being traded twice in two days, the future Hall-of-Famer won his first four games as a member of the Vegas Golden Knights. Through the first four starts, he has registered a 2.22 GAA while also adding a .930 save percentage. This season was one to forget for Quick while in Los Angeles, but the change of scenery has given him new life and an opportunity to turn things around. There is also a strong possibility that the winningest goalie in Kings' history will have the opportunity to face his former team in the playoffs.
Jason Zucker, Left Wing, Pittsburgh Penguins (43% Rostered)

Jason Zucker has been the most underrated player on the Pittsburgh Penguins this season, and he is one of the reasons that this team is still fighting for their playoff lives. The 31-year-old has been holding down the Pens' second line with Evgeni Malkin and Rickard Rakell, tallying 24 goals and 18 assists throughout the season.
Zucker has been especially hot as of late, finding the back of the net nine times over the span of eight games. He continues to shoot the puck on the net and receives a lot of powerplay time every night. If your fantasy team is looking for a guy that has a hot hand of late, Jason Zucker should be your guy.
Barrett Hayton, Center, Arizona Coyotes (24% Rostered)

This season hasn't gone as well as Arizona would have liked it to go, but they do have a number of bright spots that this team can look to for the future! Barrett Hayton has solidified himself as one of those players.
The 22-year-old is now in his second year as a full-time member of the Coyotes and has supplied 13 goals and 22 assists so far this year. As of late, he has been one of the best players in the league! Through Hayton's last five games, he has put up three goals along with seven assists. It sure feels like he is gaining confidence while playing alongside star Clayton Keller, and the duo may be what this city needs to build toward the future.
Jakub Vrana, Left Wing, St. Louis Blues (21% Rostered)
It may not feel like much at the time, but sometimes a change of scenery will do wonders for players. Jakub Vrana, who just seemed to not fit in during his time with the Red Wings, has found his stride once again with the Blues.
2022-2023 has been unfortunate for Vrana, dealing with injuries and also having to take time away from the game due to personal matters. Following a deadline deal bringing him to St. Louis, Vrana has been able to get back into the swing of things.
The 27-year-old has only dressed for ten games between the Red Wings and Blues this season, but he has recorded five goals and one assist. Four goals in his last four games, while also increasing his shot production immensely, will make Vrana a strong fantasy free-agent candidate throughout the rest of the season.
Injury Alerts
Andrei Svechnikov, Left Wing, Carolina Hurricanes

After suffering an injury on Saturday, Andrei Svechnikov will miss the rest of the 2022-2023 season. The 22-year-old star underwent knee surgery to repair the torn ACL, and his status for the start of next season is unknown as well.
The Canes have 16 games remaining in the regular season before their playoff run begins, so they will need to act fast to find pieces that can fill the void of losing Svechnikov.
Kevin Fiala, Left Wing/Right Wing, Los Angeles Kings
The Los Angeles Kings are waiting for further updates on the status of Kevin Fiala, who is currently dealing with a lower-body injury. Fiala left the bench during the second period of last Thursday's game, but later returned and registered an assist. Following this performance, the Kings have been without Fiala for three straight games. His status remains day-to-day, but the team is unsure of when Fiala will return to the lineup.
Mason Marchment, Left Wing/Right Wing, Dallas Stars

Mason Marchment is expected to miss three to four weeks with a knee injury suffered on Monday night. The 27-year-old is in his first season with the Stars and was able to make an immediate impact on the wing of Tyler Seguin.
Marchment is currently listed as day-to-day, but the team wouldn't be surprised if his regular season is over. We are hoping that Marchment returns to the lineup for the playoffs to help the Stars make their push.
Team Worth Watching This Week
Florida Panthers

There is no better time to get hot than right now! The Florida Panthers are certain of this, as they have pushed themselves directly into the conversation of the playoffs. The Panthers are three points behind the Islanders, who are holding the final Wild Card spot, with two games in hand.
Week 24 may not be the easiest of paths for the Panthers to make their push, but they are clicking on all cylinders as of late. The Cats have a 6-3-1 record over their last ten games, including a nine-goal effort on Thursday against the Canadiens. Look for them to handle upcoming opponents like Detroit and Philadelphia, while home games against New Jersey and Toronto be a little closer.
The Devils and the Maple Leafs have been good as of late. But they have also played similar games to the Panthers. All three teams are having no problem finding the back of the net. However, they are having a tough time keeping the puck out of their own net. These matchups will likely be decided by the team that has the better goaltending performance.
It will be a big week for the Eastern Conference Wild Card race, so look for the Panthers to make their mark!
