It pains me to say, but this is the last week of these articles, as the season comes to a close. This week, we have two final games remaining. Let's talk 2022-23 NFL DFS Championship Sunday DraftKings strategy!
Given that it's only two games, I figured I could better address these games with strategies, as opposed to individual picks.
Being only two games, the value discrepancies are less, and the ownership discounts are less as well.
In order to take down these type of slates, we need to find out ways to get different from our opponents. So let's dive into some unique strategies this week.
2022-23 NFL DFS Championship Sunday DraftKings
Tight End in the FLEX
This may not seem like the most contrarian idea, but based on the pricing this week, it can be. Typically, this is reserved by most when looking to punt and go cheap at tight end.
If we pair combos of Travis Kelce, George Kittle, and Dallas Goedert, we should be able to find leverage among the field. These three are priced high enough to scare folks away from doing so, but each have great ceilings.
Double Up on 49ers RBs
One way to find leverage this week is by playing running backs from the same team. There's no better duo to do so with than Christian McCaffrey and Elijah Mitchell.
Over the last two playoff games, Mitchell has seen 12 or more touches in both games. There's certainly room for both to get there if Mitchell can find the end zone.
Pairing a quarterback with three or more players from his team is certainly in play this week. I'd at least limit this for Brock Purdy to be no more than two pass catchers.
Some of the more unique combinations include Jalen Hurts and Patrick Mahomes. With Hurts's playing style, I think most would be reluctant to triple-stack him with A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith and Dallas Goedert. And I think Mahomes's injury will also keep many away from triple stacks like Jerick McKinnon, JuJu Smith-Schuster and Travis Kelce.
