Welcome to the 2022-23 NFL DFS Wild Card Weekend Yahoo Picks!
It's going to be a long weekend, but a fun one! This has probably been noted by many, but since I've been watching football, this is the first time that I can remember where everyone in round one of the playoffs has played their opponent at least once in the regular season. I'm sure it's happened before but just something I noticed this time around.
Some are division rivals like Cincinnati vs Baltimore or Seattle vs San Francisco. But others aren't, like the Jags and Chargers. And we get a 2022 opening day rematch as our last game in Super Wildcard Weekend when the Bucs play the Cowboys once again.
One thing to remember about playoff DFS is the plays are very condensed, much like Thanksgiving day slates. There aren't as many, if any, "hidden gems" because everybody can easily look at the entire player pool when it's three games instead of 10-13 of them.
Quarterback this week will be dominated by Josh Allen, Joe Burrow, Daniel Jones, and Kirk Cousins. I highlighted two of those guys below, but I'm going to have exposure to all four. Running back and wide receiver are a little more spread out so you can get a little more creative with it.
Tight end this week is on the tougher side. T.J. Hockenson and Dawson Knox will be especially popular on this small slate. But there are a couple of guys I like for dirt cheap at the position that will let you pay up for the big names elsewhere.
