Welcome to the 2022 Fantasy Baseball Week 15 Pitching Planner.
This week marks the All-Star break and let's be honest, everybody wants to see Albert Pujols win the 2022 MLB Home Run Derby this Monday.
Due to the All-Star break, there are zero two-start pitchers this week, so we focus solely on the players' fantasy managers should start, bench, and stream.
The featured start 'ems this week are a pair of Miami Marlins, Max Meyer, and Trevor Rogers. Next, we have Nick Pivetta making another appearance on the bench 'ems. Lastly, Cole Irvin of the Oakland Athletics headlines this week's stream 'ems.

Max Meyer (MIA) - at Pittsburgh Pirates
Meyer is a top-50 prospect in baseball and he's set to make his debut this weekend. He's a must-add player in all Fantasy Baseball leagues. If everything goes well, he should get another turn in the rotation which would come this weekend against the Pirates.
Even if Meyer struggles in his MLB debut, Fantasy managers should still start him if he gets another chance.
Trevor Rogers (MIA) - at Pittsburgh Pirates
Rogers has been one of the biggest disappointments of the 2022 season. His walk rate (11%) is fourth worst, and his ERA (5.42) is fifth worst among pitchers with at least 70 innings pitched.
While Fantasy managers might be reeling over Rogers, they should start him in hopes he can turn it around. If there was ever a game to do it, this would be it. The Pirates have scored the third-fewest runs and have the third lowest OPS this season.
Paul Blackburn (OAK) - vs Texas Rangers
Blackburn has been a pleasant surprise to many Fantasy Baseball managers, but his previous two outings have not been great. In those two games, he allowed 11 earned runs across 10 innings with five walks and ten strikeouts.
Fantasy managers should not panic and bench Blackburn. His overall play from this season is enough to keep him in Fantasy lineups. Overall, Blackburn has a 3.62 ERA and while his strikeout rate (19.3%) is below average, he makes up for it by having an above-average walk rate (6.8%).
Carlos Carrasco (NYM) - vs San Diego Padres
Carrasco has pitched three really good games in a row. In these games he's allowed just three earned runs in 17.1 innings pitched and earned a 2-0 record. Let's keep this simple and ride Carrasco's hot streak.
Nick Pivetta (BOS) - vs Toronto Blue Jays
Pivetta made the Bench 'em segment last week due to playing the New York Yankees. He remains on the bench this week again as he has to face another division rival in the Blue Jays.
The Red Sox's right-hander hasn't been very successful in his most previous outings and it's hard to expect him to bounce back against the Blue Jays, who are a top-10 team in almost all offensive categories.
Lance Lynn (CHW) - vs Cleveland Guardians
After missing the first two months, Lynn made his season debut on June 13th. Unfortunately, he's only had one good game in his six outings. This has led to an ERA of 6.97 which makes it extremely difficult to continue starting the righty.
Fantasy managers should still roster Lynn in 12-team leagues but keep him on the bench until he has a decent outing.
Cole Irvin (OAK) - vs Texas Rangers
Despite his 4-7 record, Irvin has pitched solidly to a tune of 3.21 ERA and 1.1 WHIP. He's made a few impressive starts recently, going for 20 innings with just four earned runs in three outings.
Fantasy managers roster Irvin in just 13% of leagues making him a solid streaming option this week.
Madison Bumgarner (ARI) vs Washington Nationals
Bumgarner's season has not been great, but it hasn't been bad either. He has a 5-8 record, 3.65 ERA, and 2.28 strikeouts per walk. Pretty average numbers from the veteran lefty whose roster percentage is just 19%.
If Bumgarner continues to be average, then he will be another streaming option to consider. His next opponent is the Washington Nationals who currently have the fifth-fewest runs in MLB, making this even more of a viable stream.
Dean Kremer (BAL) vs New York Yankees
Kremer similarly to Bumgarner has a roster percentage of just 19%. Unlike Bumgarner, however, Kremer has been an above-average pitcher this season. He has a 3-1 record, 2.15 ERA, and 2.5 strikeouts per walk.
The problem with Kremer this week is he does have to face the best team in baseball, the New York Yankees. This matchup could force some Fantasy managers to avoid Kremer, but he is worth taking the risk on.
The Yankees might have the best record in baseball, but the Orioles are playing great lately (with the help of Kremer). Fans and Fantasy managers alike shouldn't count them out.
