2023 Fantasy Football Injury Impact

Welcome to the 2022 Fantasy Football Week 10 Injury Impact article.

On the injury front, we were without Keenan Allen (shocker), "Big" Mike Williams, and two starting QBs (Matthew Stafford and Kyler Murray). With many more ruled out, hopefully, you guys got them out of your lineups.

Week 10 could've been devastating, but we avoided it. We aren't completely out of the woods, considering we have a gaggle of players that will be missing multiple weeks. Make sure you monitor these minor injuries as well.

Dang! Just Dang.

Cooper Kupp, WR, Los Angeles Rams (Ankle)

We are looking at a (possible) high-ankle sprain for Cooper Kupp. Late in the 4th quarter, he injured that ankle again.

This is pain. In the midst of everyone's playoff push, Kupp will be out for a couple of games (at least). There are more tests to be done, so we can hope and pray.

If he were to miss time (like I expect), this offense gets even worse. Tyler Higbee must be started (8/8-79), Allen Robinson (6/4-44) is back to a flex option, and Van Jefferson should see an uptick in targets.

*Someone to look out for*

Kyren Williams is a player you should be stashing. With limited touches, Williams still saw three targets and caught them all for 30 yards. It looks like he already has a role on this team.

Zach Ertz, TE, Arizona Cardinals (Knee)

Thank god Zach Ertz avoided the ACL tear. He was seen with a knee brace though, so this is something to monitor. I do expect him to miss some time, but it isn't season-ending like everyone thought.

Trey McBride will be the starter in the meantime (1/1-7). I suppose if you are hurting at TE, you can give him a shot. I expect Deandre Hopkins (14/10-98) to eat some more, Rondale Moore (13/9-9) to become a reliable flex option, and A.J. Green (2/2-10-1) should see more work.

Leonard Fournette, RB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Hip Pointer)

Leonard Fournette (14-57-1) exited the game with a hip pointer. The Buccaneers are on bye next week, so that should help Fournette and his status for their next game. This type of injury can be very minor (no time missed), or we can see him miss a game (at most).

As you may know, Rashaad White (22-105) must be rostered. If Fournette were to miss a game or two, you can fire up White with confidence.

Juju Smith-Schuster, WR, Kansas City Chiefs (Concussion)

What a brutal hit. Hopefully, Juju is okay and will be ready to play shortly. Juju Smith-Schuster (4/2-33) exited the game with a concussion.

Please have backup options in place, because he will miss a game (at least).

With that being said, Travis Kelce will be peppered with targets (7/6-1). As for the rest of the goons, Kadarius Toney (5/4-57-1) must be picked up, Valdes-Scantling (4/3-60-1) should be rostered, and Jerrick "Dead Legs" McKinnon (8/6-56) is worth a look at as well.

Jerry Jeudy, WR, Denver Broncos (Ankle)

Jerry Jeudy went down with an ankle injury and did not return. It seems like every time he gets going (WR16 or better in the past two games), something bad happens.

We are hoping he avoided serious injury, further tests will confirm or deny this. It's worth noting he was carted off, so this is something that is a little worrisome. I do expect a few weeks missed for Jerry Jeudy.

With that being said, Courtland Sutton (11/6-66) is the only one you want in this offense.

Minor BUT Impactful

Khalil Herbert, RB, Chicago Bears (Hip)

Khalil Herbert exited the game with an apparent hip injury. As of right now, the severity of this injury is unknown.

David Montgomery (9-37) should be fired up in all lineups if Herbert were to miss time. He should go back to 15-20 touches a game.

That should do it for the 2022 Fantasy Football Week 10 Injury Impact article.
