2022 Fantasy Football Week 13 Drop List

Welcome to the 2022 Fantasy Football Week 13 Drop List.

We are getting down the wire in the fantasy football season. The trade deadline (for most) is upon us, and the playoffs are right around the corner.

We all know what that means, right?

Time to start stashing players, finding stellar defensive matchups, and loading up for the playoffs. I'm here to guide you through dropping your dead weight, so continue reading the 2022 Fantasy Football Week 13 Drop List.

*The players are starting to dwindle down, thanks to injuries. For the most part, we are all dropping who we need to and when we need to. This is something I like seeing, which is why this list is short this week.*

Russell Wilson, QB, Denver Broncos (51.4%)

Cooked! Instead of doing the cooking, Wilson is the one that has ended up being cooked. I'm sure the coaching has to take some of the blame, but Russell Wilson gets the rest. His play in 2022 has been dreadful, to say the least.

He has eight touchdowns through 11 games! There is even a running joke on Twitter saying that Wilson won't score more touchdowns than he has bathrooms in his house. Not to mention, his teammates are turning on him. This is how bad it's come.

Onto the fantasy aspect of Russell Wilson. One game! He has one game over 20 fantasy points in 2022. Currently, Wilson is sitting at QB21 with no hope of getting better. He has scored 10 or fewer fantasy points in 40% of his games (4/10).

Some other alarming stats: he has only two games where he has been a QB1 (QB12 and QB3) and a career-low in completion percentage.

I would rather have Deshaun Watson, Mike White (Top-12 QB in Week 12), or even Jimmy Garoppolo (Top-12 QB four times).

Chase Claypool, WR, Chicago Bears (58.7%)

It turns out Chase Claypool isn't droppable in all formats. If you are in deeper leagues, keep him. In 10-team leagues, you can drop him.

Chase Claypool was second on the team in targets (5), but only scored seven fantasy points (WR64). That is now four games with the Bears where he has failed to top 10+ fantasy points. It's worth mentioning that Claypool is second on the team in target share (16.4%) in the past three games (according to fantasy data).

With all that being said, I would still drop him in shallow leagues. Take a chance on Treylon Burks, or even Odell Beckham.

Injured Players Rostered Too High

  • Clyde Edwards-Helaire, RB, Kansas City Chiefs (58.5%)
He was placed on IR, possibly able to return by Week 16. Even if he does, there is no need to roster him.
    - Isiah Pacheco/McKinnon took his job before the injury. The Chiefs just signed Melvin Gordon, as well.
    - Please drop CEH.
  • Allen Robinson, WR, Los Angeles Rams (73%)
Foot surgery will end A-Rob's season. There is no need to roster him.
  • Kyle Pitts, TE, Atlanta Falcons (65.4%)
His season is over. There is no reason to be rostering him in redraft leagues.
  • Zach Ertz, TE, Arizona Cardinals (51.8%)
    - He was placed on IR, and his season is over. For what to do with him, see above.

That should do it for the 2022 Fantasy Football Week 13 Drop List. Be sure to stay up to date with our rankings!
