Derek Carr, QB, Las Vegas Raiders (ECR QB12)

Derek Carr is coming off a solid Week 13 in which he finished as QB13. He finished 16-30 passing for 250 yards with two touchdowns and one interception. One of those touchdowns was the game-winner to Davante Adams.

Those two guys are on a completely different planet right now. Over the last five weeks, Adams has caught at least seven passes in each game and has had over 125 yards in four of those five games, plus seven touchdowns in that stretch. Those are just some insane numbers recently.

The Matchup

The Raiders are traveling to Los Angeles to take on the struggling Los Angeles Rams. The Rams defense has allowed the 18th most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks this season, so it isn't a great matchup on paper. However, This is not the Rams defense of old, and their season is done. Aaron Donald is also out in this game. Put Carr in your lineup this week and he will finish as a top-10 guy.

Jeff Wilson, RB, Miami Dolphins (ECR RB20)

It was a very odd game for the Miami Dolphins and their backfield usage last week. Over the past few weeks, Wilson had overtaken Raheem Mostert as the lead back in the Dolphins offense. That wasn't the case last week when Wilson only saw one carry to Mostert seeing seven carries. There was also no injury from what we have heard, so it is very strange.

That is alarming, however, it was a terrible matchup against the best run-stopping team in football the San Francisco 49ers. I look for Wilson to bounce back this week.

The Matchup

The matchup for the Dolphins is much better this week against the Los Angeles Chargers. The Chargers defense has been struggling with injuries recently and has not been good. The Chargers allow the third-most fantasy points to running backs this season. Wilson is in a smash spot, so make sure you get him in your lineup.

Michael Gallup, WR, Dallas Cowboys (ECR WR35)

We finally saw the Michael Gallup breakout last week in a tough matchup on paper against the Indianapolis Colts. He caught four of the seven targets he saw which is good to see, but just 23 yards and two touchdowns finishing as WR15 in half-point PPR formats. Gallup should continue to see some targets in the red zone in the rest of the season and in this matchup this week.

The Matchup

The Matchup for the Cowboys is the abysmal Houston Texans.  The Texans announced they will be going back to Davis Mills at quarterback this week. The Cowboys are coming off a 50-point performance, and they might just do it again. The Texans have allowed the fifth most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers. The Cowboys should be in the red zone a bunch this week. Gallup is a solid play with six teams on a bye this week.

Hunter Henry, TE, New England Patriots (ECR TE13)

Hunter Henry has had a very boom-or-bust season so far. That is to be expected in this offense, as well as the mediocre position that the tight end is in fantasy football. Henry has finished as a top-five tight end this season twice, and both times he found the end zone. I am planting my flag, he will do it again this week.

The Matchup

The matchup for Henry is the best possible one in the NFL. The Arizona Cardinals allow the most fantasy points to tight ends this season. They also lead the league in touchdowns allowed to the position with nine. Get Henry in your lineups, and feel great about it this week.

Kirk Cousins, QB, Minnesota Vikings (ECR QB10)

Kirk Cousins has just been "blah" recently. Cousins has finished outside the Top-12 quarterbacks on a weekly basis in four out of his last seven games. He is coming off a game in which he just threw for 173 yards. It was a solid Jets defense, I will give you that.

However, that was also the second game out of four in which he threw for fewer than 200 yards. That's not a risk I am willing to take in a must-win game for your fantasy team

The Matchup

You are probably thinking that I am crazy saying to sit Cousins while he is playing the Lions who give up the most fantasy points to quarterbacks this season. But, hear me out: since week seven they have held Dak Prescott to QB18, Aaron Rodgers to QB13, and Trevor Lawrence to QB16 last week. I do not trust Kirk Cousins to win my matchup this week. I would start Jared Goff, Derek Carr, or Trevor Lawrence over him this week.

Rachaad White / Leonard Fournette, RB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (ECR RB23/RB25)

Last week in a comeback victory over the New Orleans Saints the Buccaneers' running backs both had solid games finishing with 13.9 and 11.1 fantasy points. You will take that from either guy. Unfortunately, the ceiling is capped for both of these guys as long as they are both healthy.

Fournette did play 60% of the snaps compared to White's 41%, but I think that had to do with White's fumble. What was great to see for White was that they went back to him on the final play for the Bucs to get the touchdown and win. I still like White slightly more than Fournette moving forward.

The Matchup

I do not like either White or Fournette in this one against the 49ers. The 49ers run defense is just phenomenal this season allowing only 12.9 fantasy points to the position this season which is the best in the NFL. We do not play running backs against the 49ers unless they are elite.

Adam Thielen, WR, Minnesota Vikings (ECR WR30)

I do not like Kirk Cousins this week, so I am out on Adam Thielen as well. Thielen has been out-targeted by T.J. Hockenson in two of the last three games in which he finished as WR66 and WR67. Thielen has only finished as a WR3 in six out of 12 games played this season. Thielen is the third target on this offense that has thrown for 200 yards in only two of the last four games. I do not want to start him this week.

The Matchup

The matchup is good on paper against the Detroit Lions who are averaging the fourth-most fantasy points to the wide receiver position. Let's be real, if a wide receiver is going to eat in this offense it will be Justin Jefferson. I am staying away from Thielen this week if I can help it.

Foster Moreau, TE, Las Vegas Raiders (ECR TE9)

I had a slice of hope last week that we could start trusting Foster Moreau as a low-end TE1 each week. He let us down last week after catching a touchdown the previous week on seven targets finishing as TE8 in Week 12. Last week he finished as TE18 only catching one of his three targets for 32 yards. The tight end landscape is a nightmare, and he is a streaming option some weeks, just not this one

The Matchup

The Chargers have allowed the 13th-most points to tight ends this season. However, they have only allowed four touchdowns to the position which is the fourth-fewest amount in the NFL. Moreau makes his fantasy living on touchdowns, I just do not see him getting one this week.
