2022 Fantasy Football Week 17 Waiver Wire

Hey everybody! An excellent way to start my waiver debut. I went 4/4 last week for waiver pickups. Well, enough about me, let's talk about you! Congratulations, you have made it to the finals, and we hope we can get you the championship win this season. These are the slimmest pickings, so utilize them at your own risk.

This article will look at some of the best available players on the 2022 Fantasy Football Week 17 Waiver Wire.

Top Waiver Adds

Taysom Hill, TE, New Orleans Saints (55% rostered Yahoo / 45.9% rostered ESPN)

The New Orleans Saints could be better, but they have produced some fantasy relevancy this season. The one person who has been tough to trust but has prevailed numerous times is swiss army knife Taysom Hill.

Coming off three straight games with 10+ fantasy points, you could be doing much worse at the position. I believe Taysom has a shot for any tight-end needy team to do some damage and possibly bring tremendous upside against an Eagles team looking to seal their bye week.

Tyler Allgeier, RB, Atlanta Falcons (49% Yahoo / 39.2% ESPN)

The Atlanta Falcons currently rank 3rd most rushing attempts on the season, and they have been doing it behind Tyler Allgeier, Caleb Huntley, and Cordarrelle Patterson. Since Huntley had his ACL tear two weeks ago, Allgeier is the primary benefactor and has been making great work of it.

Allgeier has totaled 40 touches in the past two games, and I would be starting him with the utmost confidence as an RB2/flex-play.

Brock Purdy, QB, San Francisco 49ers (37% Yahoo / 28.7% ESPN)

Mr. Irrelevant has been far from it the past few weeks. He is not lighting up the scoreboards, but he hasn't been a dud. If your quarterback position is weak and you need consistency, Brock Purdy is the way I would be leaning.

He has averaged 16+ points the past three weeks and is facing off against a weak Las Vegas Raiders defense. If you're looking for a life raft player to get you through the finals, look no further than Purdy.

Isaiah Hodgins/Richie James, WR, New York Giants

This could be cheating here as these are two players, but I wanted to highlight both the New York Giants receivers as they are both low owned and could both be flex plays.

Most fantasy managers are rostering Darius Slayton as a big splash play player, but he has yet to catch up to Richie James and Isaiah Hodgins in the past three weeks. Their opponents aren't compelling, but the Giants need a win over the Indianapolis Colts to make the playoffs, and I am willing to bet they will do it through the air. The same team that just gave up ten catches and over 100 yards to Keenan Allen on short/intermediate routes.
