2022-23 Fantasy Basketball Weekly Planner

It's the beginning of the month, and Week 19 is here, as are the fantasy basketball playoffs. Control your destiny in the fantasy by strategizing with the 2023–24 Fantasy Basketball Week 19 Planner.

We're at the point of the fantasy season to check for weaknesses in every matchup so that you can steal a category or capitalize on some waiver pickups that can generate more fantasy points for your team. This is random luck, but a few strategies can help you be better prepared for the fight ahead.

By the end of the month, many leagues will have begun their playoffs, as Week 19 of the fantasy basketball season falls on the first full week of March. To give young, unproven players more playing time to gauge their future potential, fantasy basketball owners are searching harder for breakout performers. Except for the Nets, who have a five-game week, most teams will play four games in Week 19.

Let's look at the schedule for Week 19 and a few important fantasy plots. Daylight Saving Time starts early on Sunday, March 10th, for those in the United States and Canada who observe it.

Brooklyn to play five games this week

The Nets, who open Week 19 with a home back-to-back against the Grizzlies and 76ers on Monday and Tuesday, are the only NBA team with five games scheduled. Brooklyn will play two back-to-backs; the second one is an away game on Saturday and Sunday against the Cavaliers and Hornets.

The Nets will be impacted by the health of Ben Simmons (leg) and Cam Thomas (ankle), with the latter more so than the former because of Simmons' ongoing availability problems. Cameron Johnson has been picking up over the last two weeks, while Dennis Schroder has started Brooklyn's last two games. Fantasy teams already have both players on their rosters, but during Brooklyn's five-game week, it would be worthwhile to keep an eye on a rookie player like Jalen Wilson.

How will the Raptors carry on in the absence of Scottie Barnes?

Barnes broke his left hand during Friday's game, and he is out indefinitely. With his skill set and versatility as a second big next to Jakob Poeltl or as the team's lone big, Kelly Olynyk has gained a lot of popularity. Additionally, Olynyk should be easy to get on waiver wires as he is rostered in 40% of Yahoo leagues.

Rookie Gradey Dick is another player to keep an eye on, especially with Toronto four games behind Atlanta in 10th place in the standings. During the last three weeks, he has produced 12th-round value in 9-cat formats and played 27 minutes on Saturday. Therefore, with Barnes out, it will be harder to catch up to Atlanta and Brooklyn, who are in 11th place.  Letting off the pace should result in more playing time for the Raptors' first-round pick from Kansas. Even in deep leagues, Gradey shouldn't be too difficult to locate as he is rostered in 11% of Yahoo leagues.

Suns will enter Week 19 with a skeleton squad

The Suns were expected to move closer to full strength with Bradley Beal's return on Saturday, and that's exactly what happened—until halftime. Additionally, Jusuf Nurkic had already been sidelined by neck spasms at that point in the Houston Rockets defeat. Meanwhile, Royce O'Neale and Devin Booker had both sprained their ankles from collisions in the fourth quarter. O'Neale continued playing, but Booker left the game and hobbled back to the locker room. After playing the Thunder on Sunday to wrap up Week 18, Phoenix will play three games in Week 19.

The slightly better news is that Phoenix won't be playing back-to-back games and that Tuesday's game in Denver will be followed by home games against the Raptors and Celtics. Consequently, Booker, Nurkic, O'Neale, Eric Gordon (groin), and Beal's minutes limitation all have an effect on rotation and fantasy basketball rosters.
