2022-23 Fantasy Basketball Weekly Planner

Did you read my Week 4 planner article? Continuing on that idea, Draymond Green looks poised to join the Wrestling Hall of Fame, where he ranks amongst the likes of Austin, The Rock, Flair, Cena, and CM Punk. Maybe Draymond hasn't forgiven Rudy Gobert for starting covid? Regardless, the smackdown was layeth. You be the judge. And yes, welcome to the 2023–24 Fantasy Basketball Week 5 Planner!

Green's penalty for this altercation is a five-game suspension. Green's suspension started with the Thunder game this past Thursday and will go through until November 24. The next chance he gets to play is on November 28 (week 6), against the Kings. Anticipate more action from Jonathan Kuminga, Dario Saric, and Trayce Jackson-Davis in his place.

If you haven't had a great start to the fantasy season, make sure to plan and strategize for your fantasy week 5 ahead!

Streamer Consideration

The talk of the town is about the Bulls, as rumors that the club may be breaking apart have been making the rounds. In addition to their great players, the Bulls have depth players such as Alex Caruso, who might be a useful trade asset if the team decides to part ways with some of its best players. Regardless of the outcome of his shot, Caruso may still be a fantasy asset thanks to his skill.

The majority of this week's recommended picks suit teams that have emerging players. Here is a fresh group of players for Week 5 that you might want to consider grabbing.

Alex Caruso, Chicago Bulls (PG, SG)

Caruso was amazing, scoring 18 points in 23 minutes with one rebound, three steals, two blocks, and four 3-pointers after being moved into the starting lineup for Friday's loss to the Hornets. It's a little surprising that Caruso is the only Bulls player in the top 50 in 9-cat value, with the likes of Zach LaVine, DeMar DeRozan, and Nikola Vucevic also being Bulls players. Unless he is dealt to a team that will use him for more than 30 minutes each game, Caruso's fantasy worth is limited, but there is still significant value to be found.

Dyson Daniels, New Orleans Pelicans  (PG, SG)

Daniels has now started New Orleans' last five games. He finished with 10 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists, 3 steals, and zero turnovers in 33 minutes of play against the Denver Nuggets. Daniels, who was valued at the 12th round in 9-cat form for the season, has been among the top 40 players for the past week. The Pelicans have four games this week.

Skylar Mays, Portland Trail Blazers (SG)

With the biggest increase in rostered percentage, Mays is the most sought-after addition in fantasy basketball. Despite playing in just six games last season, he averaged 15.3 points and 8.3 assists in 31.5 minutes. He has now scored in double figures in three of the last four games. Mays is a fantastic streaming option, even with the injuries to Scoot Henderson (ankle), Malcolm Brogdon (hamstring), and Anfernee Simons (thumb) still out.
