Hockey season is cruising by, and we have reached the week of American Thanksgiving. Fans like to use this holiday as a benchmark to see where your team stands. Are they a contender? Is it time to tank? I don't know the answer, but I do know that it's time for the 2023-24 Fantasy Hockey Week 7 Weekly Planner.
Last week, we mentioned that the league was taking over Sweden with the 2023 NHL Global Series. These games certainly haven't disappointed! We've seen some great hockey, including a pair of crazy comeback performances. The Red Wings were able to erase a four-goal deficit to force overtime only for the Senators to pull through in the end.

Meanwhile, Toronto was able to complete a comeback of their own with three unanswered third-period goals to win 3-2. The hometown Swede William Nylander was also able to extend his season-opening point streak to 16 games with a goal and two assists.
Let's jump back to North America, and focus on the busy week ahead of us. It's time to enjoy some turkey while we get into the 2023-24 Fantasy Hockey Week 7 Weekly Planner.

Coming off of a season that he'd like to forget, Mathew Barzal has gotten off to a solid start to the 2023-24 campaign. Through his first 26 games, we've seen him register three goals and 11 assists.
He is currently riding a three-game point streak (one goal and four assists) while playing alongside the likes of Simon Holmstrom and Bo Horvat. The trio have succeeded on the offensive end of the ice, outshooting teams 48 to 31 while on the ice together. When trying to help support your fantasy team, these kinds of connections are what you should be looking for.
This could be a strong week for Barzal, as the Islanders will be taking on the Flyers (Home), Senators (Away), and the Penguins (Home) who have all had a tough time keeping the puck out of their net.
Robert Thomas, Center, St. Louis Blues (56% Rostered)
The St. Louis Blues have found their number one Center Of The Tuture following the departure of Ryan O'Reilly, and his name is Robert Thomas. And right now, he should be worth the addition to your fantasy hockey squad.
After recording an assist on Thursday, Thomas extended his point streak to eight games (five goals and seven assists). He'll continue to get the opportunity to find the scoresheet given the connection he has going with his linemates, Kasperi Kapanen and Pavel Buchnevich.
Fantasy hockey is all about finding the hot hand, and this would be a valuable addition if you are looking for an instant impact on your roster.
Matt Duchene, Center/Right Wing, Dallas Stars (56% Rostered)
A three-day rest heading into Week 7 could be exactly what the Carolina Hurricanes could need. With a favorable slate of opponents ahead, it should be a good week for the Canes.
If you ask Rod Brind'Amour about the start of the season for his team, he would tell you it was disappointing. The team currently has a record of 9-7 which is good enough for second in the division. With this, they have played a few more games than their divisional foes. This should be a week where the team can get themselves on a streak and fight for that top spot again.
Looking ahead, the Canes will welcome the Oilers, Lightning, and Blue Jackets to Raleigh, NC. As it stands right now, these three teams rank in the Top 10 for goals allowed. For a team like Carolina, who haven't been able to find their scoring touch, this could wind up being the perfect storm. This should be a big week for the Canes' top-six forwards.
