2023 Dynasty Football Players to Buy

We are in the dead zone of the NFL offseason. This a great time to make some acquisitions in fantasy football, especially in dynasty. The key is finding high-upside players who may be suffering a dip right now but will rebound in value later on. In this article, we will look at some 2023 dynasty football players to buy.

2022 brought us some great buy low guys in Christian Kirk, Jalen Hurts, and Jamaal Williams, to name a few. Each of those players significantly outperformed their expected value coming into last season.

Stick around to find out which players can do the same in 2023. Your dynasty squad could end up with some steals!

Cam Akers, RB, Los Angeles Rams

Akers was drafted towards the top of the second round in 2020 by the Rams but his career has not turned out the way dynasty football managers had hoped. After a promising rookie season, he lost all of 2021 with an Achilles injury and was benched for the first half of 2022. Akers' value has been significantly reduced from his rookie season.

However, the Rams neglected to address the RB position in the 2023 draft or in free agency. This leaves Akers with a clear path to touches and production. With Darrell Henderson gone and Sony Michel as the backup, Akers is a cinch to lead the backfield in carries and catches. His current ADP is 56, and he is being drafted as the RB22. We're talking steal territory here.

Kenneth Walker III, RB, Seattle Seahawks

Walker was a breakout star in 2022 after being drafted in the second round. Rushing for over 1,000 yards and 9 touchdowns, he seemingly put the Seahawks backfield under his control for the future. Yet Pete Carroll continues to do Pete Carroll things and added another second-round RB in Zach Charbonnet. Charbonnet will eat into the workload of Walker, but Walker is still both the goal line back, as well as on early downs.

Charbonnet will take what few catches Walker had away, but the touchdowns and line-to-line work will be there. His value has dropped with the addition of Charbonnet, making him one of our 2023 dynasty football players to buy. Because of this new addition, you should be able to get him for a first-round pick plus in most dynasty leagues.

Diontae Johnson, WR, Pittsburgh

One of the best route-runners in football, Johnson was victimized by red zone issues and a rookie QB. Despite having 147 targets and over 800 yards, he failed to sniff the end zone once. Kenny Pickett's rookie struggles likely contributed to a down season for Johnson.

The Steelers revamped their offensive line with the addition of Broderick Jones, which should benefit Pickett and in turn Johnson. Johnson's price is at a career-low after his down year and now is the time to buy in before he has a bounce-back season.
