The Importance of Each Drill at the NFL Combine

After 15 weeks of the NFL season, we have seen some exciting performances! There have been some unfortunate injuries (Kirk CousinsChristian WatsonJustin Herbert), breakout performances (Jahmyr Gibbs), and massive letdowns (the New England Patriots). In this edition of 2023 Dynasty Football Week 16 Buy Low-Sell High, we will see some more names that should either be bought at a discount, or sold at their apex point.

We have now reached the playoff stages of many fantasy football leagues. In many cases, trades are prohibited, but that doesn't mean you can't plan for the future. If you're competing, should you sacrifice some picks for win-now veterans? Is it time to throw in the towel and retool? Or is it time for a full-blown rebuild?

Only you can answer those questions for your team, but either way, with the 2023 Dynasty Football Week 16 Buy Low-Sell High we have the right guys for either answer.

Buy Low Candidates

Josh Downs, WR, Indianapolis Colts

One of the better rookie wide receivers, Downs has been slipping down the rankings recently. He seems to have a hard time establishing a rhythm with interim quarterback Gardner Minshew. Downs has been under 10 FPPG every game since Week 9.

When Anthony Richardson comes back, he is going to enjoy throwing deep balls to his favorite target. Downs is an excellent buy low, especially if you already own Richardson. That stack can win you weeks in 2024 and beyond.

Rashod Bateman, WR, Baltimore Ravens

Bateman has taken a backseat in this year's Baltimore offense. Rookie sensation Zay Flowers and veteran Odell Beckham Jr. have taken the top two spots in the depth chart.

However, the future looks brighter. Beckham is only on a one-year deal. Bateman is a former first-round pick with great talent. He can be the WR2 with Flowers drawing most of the attention in 2024. There is easily good potential for FLEX value if not slightly better.

Sell High

Chris Godwin, WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

After several pedestrian weeks, Godwin exploded for a top-tier finish at the wide receiver position in Week 15. The veteran ended up with 12 targets, 10 grabs, and 155 yards. That's not too shabby. The problem is that this was an outlier game for what is supposed to be a consistent receiver in Godwin.

But he doesn't have Tom Brady under center anymore, it's Baker Mayfield. Mayfield has peppered Mike Evans with targets and left Godwin as an afterthought. Godwin should be moved if possible after this game or after the season.

Jake Browning, QB, Cincinnati Bengals

Browning has been a fun story, leading the Bengals to key wins while Joe Burrow is out. But once 2024 comes around, Burrow will be back under center.

If there are any playoff contenders or Burrow owners who want insurance, now would be the time to move Browning for some picks while you still can. Simple as that, don't overthink it.
